Just sometimes happens to me first of all I have insomnia really bad. I think I'm going to miss something. I swear I don't do drugs either. I just was up fucking with these games all night.
Now I'm not sure whether to trust your opinion more or less

Bib, Agree with your pick, had not heard anyone talking about this much so thought I would throw it in a thread people are actually reading. This is in response to someone in my thread saying Buffalo would turn down a bowl bid if they got one?
The only time Buffalo has ever had a chance at a Bowl they turned it down because the Tangerine Bowl comittee wanted to exclude two of their players because of the color of their skin. That was in 1958! Incedently, one of those players ( Willie Evans) has been on campus all week speaking to the football players. Could be extra incentive!

Ok let me start this off by saying that I have actually made money off of both these teams this year. Bowling Green has treated me well and obviously recently UB has treated me very well too. I saw this game on the schedule and thought this would be a trouble spot. I respect both squads and believe this spread is right where it should be. Earlier this week before doing any research I had a strong lean on Bowling Green.
Buffalo is on a 4 game winning streak that should honestly be a 6 game winning streak. Missed a late field goal in Central Michigan and blew a late touchdown lead vs Western Michigan. They have recovered to win their last 4 and have been playing very well in the process. They can win this game for their first ever bowl appearance and you can bet they are pumped. I was reading in the Buffalo News today quotes from players on Tuesday saying they were already getting pumped for the game. This team has been the model of futility ever since reaching Division 1 football and now this team full of senior leadership will have a chance to take this team to a spot theyve never been before. Bowling Green has to be one of the hardest teams to figure out. What are you going to get?? My main goal in capping this game was to figure out what went wrong in those losses and how the Bulls can take advantage of that. Bowling Green with a victory will be in the drivers seat to win the MAC East so tonight is the MAC East Championship with the winner playing in the MAC Championship.
I have made plenty of posts about Buffalo at home and on the road so I'm not even going there tonight. Starks is an animal and Willy is a fantastic quarterback. The defense is very suspect but does make big plays. If UB can keep the turnovers to a minimum they will be very tough to beat. The balance extends to their wide receivers Ernest Jackson and Naaman Roosevelt who have both had great years. You basically know what you are going to get from this UB team when healthy and that is one hell of a game.
So I'm going to breakdown Bowling Green in their home matchups. It looks like they got blown out by Minnesota but really was only losing 21-17 going into the 4th quarter. This would be a promising thing for BG if this wasnt exactly what UB does to teams. Starks just wears down defenses and goes crazy in the 4th quarter. I can remember 3 runs over 50 yards for TD's in the 4th quarter in the last 4 games alone. If Bowling Green isnt going to finish strong they are in trouble. They lost the turnover battle 5-0 in this one as well with 4 fumbles! If they can't hang on to the ball when the weather is nice, good luck when it is freezing cold outside. To counteract they, they did not commit any turnovers which means they have to be coached pretty well. They ran their record to 0-2 on the road with an inexcusable loss to Eastern Michigan 24-21. They pulled a complete 180 from the previous game and had 0 turnovers and 10 penalties! Unbelievably unpredictable squad. Once again, the defense couldnt stop anybody as the EMU QB threw all over BG and allowed 147 yards on the ground. This team does not force turnovers. UB does not turn the ball over often. Another impressive home performance followed when they lost to surprisingly horrible Miami(OH) team. Once again BG didnt force a turnover They did commit 1 and allowed 218 yards on the ground. Starks should be salivating. Bowling Green has lost the T.O.P. battle in every home game thus far. Bowling Green also committed 9 penalties for over 100 yards. So much for that discipline they showed against Minnesota. Bowling Green once again tried getting it done mainly through the air. They dont run the ball enough and have no balance. When they do try to run the ball they dont have any success. UB is not a very good team against the run and this gives them problems. If they dont have to be then that is just one more reason to like UB tonight. Bowling Green actually won a home game in their most recent affair vs. Kent St. They came out on a mission vs. Kent St. and were up 28-0 at halftime. What went right? They caused a turnover to set up their first TD. Rare occurence I know. Kent St. then drove right down the field only to be intercepted again. The ensuing drive saw BG run a trick play for 45 yards to set up another touchdown. Drew Willy has 4 interceptions this year. I will trust him to efficiently run this offense and not commit these turnovers that leads to all of Bowling Greens momentum. Kent St. then went 3 and out and BG converted a 4th and 6 en route to another touchdown. At this point Kent St. had to start pressing and the game started getting out of hand. If you dont turn the ball over and gift wrap this offense momentum you shouldnt have this problem. BG loves to run gadget plays and the paper today said UB has been preparing for it all week. Had to be hard to prepare for but good to know they are aware of it. The 3rd quarter saw Kent St. make a charge winning the quarter 15-3 and Kent St.'s offense could not be stopped. They ended up having the ball down 31-15 driving in the 4th. They were forced to attempt a field goal and it got blocked losing all their momentum. I'm not sure they dont win this game if that goes through. BG was on their heels. I think this game without the 2 early Kent turnovers would have turned out much like the first 3 games at home for BG.
So I think if UB gets on the board early and doesnt commit stupid turnovers they will be good. Good news is, UB normally scores an early TD and Willy protects the ball. Bowling Green will be able to score but they wont be able to stop Buffalo. Starks should be able to dominate this game and I would think Buffalo has a halftime lead and leans on Starks heavily in the 2nd half to put them in the MAC Championship Game
Prediction:
Buffalo-38
Bowling Green-24
Good luck everyone
