There are extremists on both sides of the argument who actually think they can talk the other side into their way of seeing things.  The reasonable SEC fans and the non SEC fans who aren't "haters' suffer when they get lumped in with the crazies.

But for now he's in a losing atmosphere & it may take some time to change it. I believe Moos will cut him all the slack he needs to get the Cougs back to being competitive.

I don't back the SEC and the other teams for the sake of what people think SEC fans do. I just know when they match up with other teams there is a difference and it gets old for people because they think it's the cool thing to do hoping SEC teams lose this time around. Until more teams start playing defense, nothing is going to change, FSU plays defense but they never face teams as physical as the one they played last Saturday. Even their players were admitting it after the game

since i have been here, people have always been talking about how it used to be better... its an open forum there will always be clowsn.. the only thing that is definitely making it worse is the fact that more people are gambling now ---> more clowns who are getting in and are new and young... gambling used to be more selective

 First off, I have no allegiance to WSU...................& 2nd, after you fire Leach, who ya gonna hire? Who are you going to find that has experience taking a smaller program to the big time & sustained it? That program needed a kick in asss & Leach was the best fit...........& likely one of very few who would take it on. They're gonna have to put up with him if they want to get back to being even remotely relevant.

The local media is saying that the Sooners and Cowboys have both looked a little flat in practice this week. (hangover from OT game last Saturday?) Beat writers for both teams are picking the home dogs (TCU and Baylor) to cover their respective point spreads.  FYI

P12 already has the best coaches.  Colorado will probably hire a bum, but I expect Cal to hire someone decent.

If WSU doesn't give Leach 4 years, it will be very tough to find a good coach for the next hire.  What coach will want to go to a school where he knows he has to win in a year or two?  It takes time to build a program, especially at a school like WSU, and especially when you try to build it the right way (not going the JC route and redshirting your recruits).  WSU will never have a top 25 recruiting class either, like some other P12 schools can count on to reload.

That statement in itself says alot.  I've been to Lubbock and it's in the middle of no where.  If Pullman is worse, he does have his work cut out for himself.

i personally think that all of covers forums stink because if you don't say what they want you to say about them they will ban you and you have to change your idenity and move on.  there are better forums then covers out there, and covers are always trying to sell you there awful picks so you can lose money.  probably be banned after this but was worth it.

This forum is horrid, I still log on to see if I can find the guys I like to follow, but a lot have left I'm afraid, I hope not though, like Memphisgrinder (hasn't posted in a while), QBBearcat (hasn't posted in a while) TREE is still around, Kansas left but I know where he went so thats still ok, Hippylettuce (hasn't posted that much anymore and a few others.

 

There needs to be a mod on that can BAN these clowns that get on here, I've never seen so much BS.

 

And oh yea, Thanksgiving day had ads on both sides for tampons....really? I looked for the soap opera forum area and the Housewives of NJ area but coudn't find it thinking 'ok, maybe there's an area for women on here'...wrong

 It may have been ignorant of me to suggest it is easy to get kids to Lubbock..........I know nothing about the town. But it is still in Texas & what, about 4-5 hrs from the Dallas area? Pullman is about a 6 hr drive from Seattle & a couple hrs from Spokane.........neither being a real hotbed for recruiting. I realize Leach didn't get the cream of the crop Texas HS recruits @ TT, but it had to have been easier to lure a few to Lubbock than it will be to get them to Pullman.

packers..........what would you have suggested Bill Moos do @ WSU? Try to hire Saban away from bama? What was leach going to do with what he had to work with this year? This is a huge reclamation project...........not a team that had lots of talent but terrible coaching, but a team that hasn't sniffed a bowl game in almost 10 years & has had less 4-star commits in that time than USC gets in one year..........& I wouldn't expect that to turn on a dime. At least with a proven offensive mind they have a chance to lure some talent there.........wasn't gonna happen under Wulff or another newbie.

 What Mike Price did there was miraculous....
