these announcers are idiots.  they are saying here wasn't enough time to take another shot.  but there was.  they are afriad to call out the idiot coach and qb.

Clock operator and refs weren't synced up.  Wilson was watching the clock to know when he could snap it, otherwise he could have snapped it 5 seconds earlier.  It's not like they weren't sitting there waiting and ready.

Refs should have given them 1 second on the clock.

It was obvious that the officials had their money on Oregon. There were two obvious holding penalties on Oregon broadcast for all to see on critical 3rd down plays ..........no flag.

I knew that Wisconsin couldn't win after seeing that. 

The attempt to spike was just too risky. Wisconsin messed up there.

I think wisc coaching staff needs to be fired like wash did to their defensive coaches.I think Russell Wilson  only  did what his coach told him to.Either beliema is a bonehead or he gets bad advice from his assistants.Bad time outs,bad 3rd down decision making both on offense and defense.This is why the big-10 sucks in bowl games and especially the Rose Bowl.

I don't see where the officials cost them on that one?? On the replay, it clearly shows the ref signaled to start the clock and they snapped it at 1 second and the clock hits zero before the ball hits the ground.  Why they didn't run a play to try and get a TD there instead of spiking it is beyond me, but I'm glad they didn't and I'll take my money

Right the people in here are clueless and think the clock starts when it's snapped which isn't the case.

the white kid that fumbled lost the game..or the wisky def.. that didnt blitz even though the whole world knew they were gonna run shotgun draw 27 times at the end

The game clock and play clock are started by two different operators.  Would be very extremely rare to be started at the exact same time.  Rarely is it ever noticed, in this case it will have Badger backers talking for years.

This is exactly how I saw it as well. 
Is it possible that there was only 1.6 sec left and the clock rounds it up to 2 secs?

i was on the over.. but im pretty sure thats 2 years in a row that coaching (clock management and timeouts)  has cost wisconsin the rose bowl

wisc fumble inside 30 yd line was reason they lost..you practice ball security from  1st day of spring drills...one hand on ball and he did not try to get out of bounds...nice strip by oregon...and unreal how that ball stayed inbounds...I can't catch a break...had NW...Iowa...wash...miss st...Ga  ...etc...MOOSE...

Only thing you can bitch about is the official behind the play signaled to run the clock.....& the offense can't see that?

BUT!!!! If you watched any college football you know u can't spike the ball with 2 secs left....dammit, fucked my 3 tmr....

No time for spike. Best chance to succeed anyway is amidst chaos. Should have gone deep. Even with a spike defense has a chance to reset.
