Bad Beats of Bowl Season

Question

*Toledo -3. Air Force misses conversion, Toledo sits on it ahead by 1.
*Tulsa +1. BYU scores in the last 15 seconds of each half, one on a fake spike, wins by 4.
*Iowa +14. Oklahoma scores a meaningless touchdown with 90 seconds left to win by 17.
*Northwestern +10. A&M kicks a field goal with 30 seconds left to win by 11
*GT/Utah under 49.5. Game goes to overtime at 48. Goes over in OT.

*GT team total under 25.5. Game goes to overtime at 24. Goes over in OT.

I was on all of these. Anybody beat that?

Yeah I got beat by most of those also....what about NDame up  14-0 in the 3rd. The coach puts in a 2nd string QB, he gets a pick and FSU scores then they put Rees back in and he throws a pick and the team falls apart......

no such thing as a "bad beat" AT.....Bad beats....and the &#x27;lucky wins&#x27;....should cancel each other out .......over the long run ...     *if you&#x27;re bad beats outnumber your lucky wins...you&#x27;re just picking the wrong side &gt; it ain&#x27;t bad luckNot speaking to you specifically of course (you prolly have that figured out already).....but to what seems like 99% of Covers..... me? ...not smarter...just too old to whine/bitch..... like the common house fraubut since you brought it up....that Washington loss was kinda ugly....eased by a HUGE Baylor 2H bet....and the fact we knew it was coming.....best of luck rest of the way.............

Yeah, bookie, I get it, but it makes me feel better to bitch about it a little bit when I have so many in a row go against me.

I will disagree with one part, about how bad beats outnumbering lucky wins means you're just picking the wrong sides. In general, that will come out true. But not for under bettors. The worst beat you can get is an under that goes to overtime, but there's no corresponding lucky win.

I actually had a +300 parlay that just needed the Georgia Tech under to come through. Was my biggest play of bowl season, had it capped completely right, and I lost money on it. Fucking overtime.

like UNDERS?.....do 1st half instead...&gt; in these bowl games....after long lay-offs....offenses often start s l o w....especially when facing a solid D.....don&#x27;t have the # handy.....but I&#x27;ve cashed most all 1H UNDER plays*in bowls.....I would NEVER do an UNDER for the game      because of OT....and the dreaded give-up on D...by a team that figures out ....no way we&#x27;re gonna win &gt; our season is OVER.....I can&#x27;t wait to get outta these F&#x27;in pads and get to the party..........attitude  as in Washington game......

Ohio State allowed a pair of special teams touchdowns and Wisconsin came ever so close, but the worst:having a 5 point underdog that never trails the entire game but loses by 6 in OT. Seriously. Just been that kind of bowl season. But no, review takes it all back!

13-9 nebraska.. hail mary answered for south carolina to end half

1h spread was 1/2

o/u was 23 or 24 (forgot)

all good for nebraska and under (22 pts in 1q, none in the 2nd)

51 yard hail mary to end half

16-13 south carolina at half

not to mention... nebraska has PAT blocked and south carolina returns for 2 pts... even with the hail mary, would be 14-14...

think the worse beat is 1h nebraska as they would of covered 1h with a tie

probably add oklahoma st full game, 2nd half, 2nd over to that list...

oklahoma st covers full game, 2h and it goes over with a td but td saving tackle by stanford at 1/2 yard line... then they kick a fg to win and stanford covers full game, 2h, and it goes under

only had full game over on that game so don't really care but i liked oklahoma st -4.5/-5 and thought they were gonna pull it off with all those stanford miss fgs

I&#x27;m not convinced on this Oklahoma State claim. They were a favorite and never led the entire game. In general, if the game goes to overtime, backers of the favorite can&#x27;t claim a moose, even if the ending is rough. Second worst thing to having an under in OT is having a dog in OT. Because if the game goes to OT, then the dog was the right play. Didn&#x27;t notice Nebraska 1H. That&#x27;s one of the biggest, if not the biggest, of bowl season. Although I&#x27;ll still put up my GT team total and GT/UU under up against most anything. If Oklahoma State had covered, the Stanford loss might&#x27;ve trumped everything. But thank heavens it got called back. Needed something to go right.
