You can't be serious with that statement.
Jacory Harris will be the starting qb at Miami next year regardless of the showing last night.
And if a backup or transfer is gonna take his job or give him a run for it, it's gonna be during the spring or in camp. It's not gonna be because he played poorly in a bowl game.

Jacory Harris got his ass kicked and had absolutely no time all day until Nebraska went into prevent the last drive.Wisconsin defense owned the U's offensive line.
After the opening kickoff return, there wasnt much of a difference in speed between the teams either. If Anything U's linebackers were not fast enough to cover Badgers TEs

Yeah, I was serious, and if you read into what I said, I didn't say a transfer or backup WOULD replace him....I said looking terrible or suffering a serious injury could make the coaching staff take a serious look at another option. Happens all the time in college...a bowl game is a great way to judge any players' potential, but not a definitive way. Therefore, like you said, looking at other options throughout the spring and summer could be prompted by one of these two outcomes.
Read what people say before you spout off something as dumb as your response.![]()

If you've ever played a down of college football, you would know that the coaching staff ALWAYS looks at other options. The coaching staff always has a plan b. Especially at hyper-competitive programs like the U where talent flows like water. It's called developing depth through competition. If you honestly think it takes a poor performance from a player to prompt a staff to look at other options, you really need to up your football IQ. Coaching staffs at big time programs assess other options daily.
And like I said earlier, the qb battle or any position battle is going to be competed for, and settled in the spring and fall. They could bring in 4 other options, but in the end, the best qb is gonna win the job. I REALLY doubt Jacory Harris is really worried about the coaching staff looking at other options because he played poorly in the bowl game. ![]()
The coaching staff can look at as many options as they want. In the end, it's still Jacory Harris' job to lose.
