Well Boise St and ASU were expected to lose.  Oregon ran into a buzzsaw.  I wouldn't look too much into it.

So if Georgia wins tomorrow then it would be Big 10 vs SEC in both semifinals, that doesn't sound right, so give me Notre Dame,  how do you like that for handicapping? 

They were all dogs. better teams won

That’s because the committee didn’t know what the f they were doing. We all know neither ASU nor Boise should have received a bye. For f sakes Boise would be lucky to be .500 in either the SEC or Big 10.

I think it did hurt, especially with the time of year, holidays etc too much time off can lead to sluggishness.

I think it hurts Oregon the most they had all the momentum all season. I'm not surprised Ohio St got revenge but I thought it would be a lot closer based on the 1st game

All three on byes were also the underdog so they were expected to lose. In 2 of the cases they were double digit underdogs. 

This would mean much more if these teams on the bye were clear favorites and lost due to the time off. 

I agree  don’t wait a whole month before they start

Georgia is the only one out of the 4 that needed a bye.....gives extra time to prepare with new QB 

You can also look at all 3 teams that won so far has better defense
