Air Force started off hot 8-0 SU and Boise 3-4 SU. Air Force should be favored? In the last month however, there has been a major change in the direction of these programs. It all began on November 4th when the AF laid 18 at home to a struggling Army team. They got outrushed by Army 213-155, then the season began to unravel. In the following week, they traveled to Hawaii as 18 point faved and lost outright 27-13. Last week, they got their ground game on track with a 340-114 overland edge, but lost to UNLV when they allowed a total of 465 yards. The season has changed just as dramatically for Boise. Following their bye on October 21st, they have beaten Wyoming by 25, lost at Fresno despite outgaining the Bulldogs, 488-441, then dominated New Mexico and Utah State by combined scores of 87-24, including an edge last week against the Aggies of 352-164. Boise fires their coach which seems to be supported by the players. Last week, they gave an inspired performance for Interim HC Danielson. Note that Boise is very familiar with the Air Force option winning and covering 5/6 recent meetings. And with Air Force Larrier remaining out, it is likely that the Broncos 109/3.6 rush defense can lead to their success in this matchup once again. Better news for the Broncos is that both of their own RBs Holani (178/11.8 YPR LW) and Jeanty are each as healthy as they have been. A huge crowd support is happening as they made a huge push to sellout their tickets. As of Thursday night only 1,100 tickets remain.
oh and during that bad stretch AirForce could not take care of the ball.
