Again another idiotic response with nothing backing it; OU's pass defense might be because it played against 6 of the best offenses in the top 25; and if OU's pass defense is soooooo bad why did it basically limit the best pass offense to 21 pts really 14 and destroy them by 44; I am so sick of hearing this Fl has played all these great defenses; they are all SEC teams that have no offense so its horrible offenses playing average defenses; just because you play a bunch of crappy offenses doesnt make you a great defense; look at bama; they played horrible teams and barely beat them all year long; and TCU has the number 2 defense; you want to say all these other teams are in the top 25 but not TCU; its no joke they held OU to 25 yards on 36 carries; that is great defense; now Bradford smoked them just like Bradford smoked Texas with no running game; and TCU did play Utah at Utah and should have won that game; the same team that is undefeated and playing in a bcs bowl and same team that shut down boise and beat them; you dont want to give anybody credit unless they are in the sec; its a total joke; you keep saying they will be outscored; OU has the better offense and their supposed pathetic defense has played against offenses just as good if not better than Fl already this year and beat them. So get over all this great defense stuff; and if you do name them I want to know the 7 defenses in the top 40 why not say 9 in the top 70; please give me these great defenses you are talking about i want to hear them. NAME THEM ASAP

You can make the same argument either way.   Is OUs offense that good because the Big 12 defenses are that bad?   And conversely with Florida - is their defense that good or are the SEC offenses that bad?    I do believe the SEC was down this year especially in terms of offense...but you also cannot be completely blind to facts my friend.   OU statistically is a poor defense.   I don't care who they played.

I will likely play the over in this game anyway.   Too tough to call on the side.      But if you put a gun to my head, I would have to take Florida....because of two intangibles - Tebow and Florida's bowl track record....

I was not making a direct comparison between Florida D and TCU D, but I will say TCU D is better then most in the SEC..plain and simple...they absolutely dominated the Boise Offense....but moving on....I really think it is funny as hell how all the SEC homers like to talk about great D (nothing like a 54-40 SEC shootout that happened a LOT this year..how many times have SEC teams and their great defenses allowed more then 30-35 points this year...against mediocre offenses to boot??  (too many for my dumbass to count that is for sure).  Here is what I see:

    1)  OU played several teams in the top 20 in offense - how many has Florida played?
    2)  Show me a team other then Florida in the SEC in the top 20 in offense???

Now, I am not the brightest bulb in the box, but if TEAM A is playing against mediocre offenses most of the year, then their D stats are going to be inflated and conversely if TEAM B is playing several games against Offenses rated in the top 10 week in and week out, then I would GUESS that their D numbers would look weak???

I am not about to say that the OU defense is great...they are far from it and losing their starting MLB (the heart and soul of their D) really, really hurt them, but I DO think they will stop Florida more times then the Florida D stops the OU offense...that is it..my game analysis!

Whoever wins this game wins it on special teams imo...Florida has a huge edge in ST - if they get a ST TD, and consistantly get good returns, they will likely win the game...OU's ST have been terrible, but I am betting they do enough to keep the game in check here....

Speed...unlike what many SEC homers would want  you to think, Speed does exist outside of the South...last I checked the state of Texas (or should I say the Republic of Texas?!?!) produced some decent talent...one or two of those boys surely made their way across state lines to OU I would think?  I think the SEC team will be surprised at the team speed of OU......

Good grief guys... in case you didn't know, Alabama was undefeated in regular season - SEC style.  If you think they aren't good because they don't play the same style of ball as Oklahoma and some of the other "super" offense teams, you are mistaken.  This is what is wrong with college football.  People think if you can score 60 pts that makes you special and great.  No, if a team can play a legitimate schedule, hold its' opponents to less than 15pts avg a game, and only win by 7 to 10 pts avg, that is a better team.  TCU defense is great...especially against the run, and it might be as good as Florida's in that regard.  But, Florida will not get torched like TCU did.  Florida is balanced....  Oklahoma will look confused and frustrated in this game.  Then, it will snow ball and Florida will keep tacking it on.  See, Florida has been playing tough defenses all season and will know how to handle it.  Oklahoma hasn't and will become frustrated because everything they've been doing successfully all year is no longer working.  Oklahoma will not know what to do.

Bradford will have so much heat in his face the whole game, it will look like a disaster. The best pass defense in the big 12 is Texas Tech, ranked 92nd. He wont get to stand there for 8 seconds and choose his target like every game. The difference is, Tebow will get too, and they will also run it ALL OVER them. You thought WVU ran the ball well last year out of the spread in the Fiesta bowl? You are in for a humbling experience. Oklahoma State runs the same base offense as UF does, they cut through them like knives all night but had no defense. OU will be forced into mistakes offensively and made to gamble defensively with blitzes. Which causes man coverage, they will eat them there....

yea the osu game was on the road and ou kicked the crap out of them; all of you guys that keep saying ou is going to be confused and all of this give me a break; they had the best SOS in the entire country; they beat 5 out of 6 teams in the top 25 and thumped 5 out of 6; only loss the team right behind FL; Fl has beaten Bama that is it; they have beaten one team; they lost to Miss at home and they are 25 so they are barely even in the top 25; all you Florida backers tell me who has Florida beaten; and name all these great defenses they have faced; why do i always ask these questions and i never get any answers; OU has DESTROYED 4 teams in the top 13 of the BCS and now you guys act like they are going to be mistified by FL; give me a freakin break. Fl was losing in the 4th qtr to Bama and needed to comeback to win that game. FL has played one team that is it; name another please just one; name all these great defenses name them; I know I wont get one single answer from any of you idiot homers; this will be a very close game and people that say anything else are just stupid and I guess since FL got their azz handed to them with 4 losses and a bowl loss they have no chance this year either; OU is not playing with the same players people that say idiotic things like that are just stupid. And I love moronic people who talk about the Heisman but never talk about all the Heisman winners; if you think OU is going to lose because Bradford was picked as the best player in college football then you have the worst handicapping skills I have ever seen. Keep it up koolaid drinkers

OK here is their pathetic schedule and I see one two teams worth any type of crap; Bama with no offense and then Miami with really no offense; I mean that offense has got to be the worst I have seen in Miami 10 years but they have a decent defense; where are all these great defenses; I will take TCU and Texas over those two any day of the year because they both can score also; Miami cant score on anyone. Yea their schedule is a juggernaut of tough defenses; my azz!!

You Florida players remind me a lot of Ohio State types... yes FL is a good team, yes SEC is good conference... but I think you are going to get tired of hearing "boomer sooner"... trust me that is just as hard to listen to as your fight song, right up there with rocky top when you are losing.. and trust me......... you are gonna lose this one.. OU might not even punt.... IMHO

I haven't seen any posts lately on the great TCU defense

FYI  the Florida defense finished in the top 10 in most categories. The led in INT thanks to 2 by Bradford. The defense this year is why the gators went 13-1

I will give you this , the gator defense gave up 13 points a game and the Sooners scored 14  !!!

Yea their schedule is a juggernaut of tough defenses; my azz!!

i'm late catching this, but this is as ignorant a post as they come. only 2 teams worth praise? and one of them is miami. guess you didn't watch florida state, georgia, lsu, vandy, or kentucky in their bowl games. not to mention they lost to a olemiss team that was getting hot, crushed the 3rd best team in the Big 12, and will be a top 10 team next year, could be closer to top 5.
