CShot,
Some things to consider; Illinois defense isn't all that bad. They went into the Michigan game keying on Drob, and making sure that he didn't beat them with his legs, inviting him to throw. Well, big mistake b/c he made some great plays with his arm. Also, although UM's defense is god awful, their offense & wideouts are pretty good. This was the first game Illinois gave up over 26 points to any team they played, including Mizzu and Ohio State. I'm not sure this game was a reflection on Illinois D as much as it showed Michigan can move the ball on pretty much anybody, including Iowa, who also gave up a season high against Michigan.
Personally, I wouldn't put much stock into what the Illinois D did vs. Michigan. UM is a completely different animal than most offenses, with a dual threat QB that can take it the distance every time he touches the ball. Illinois D Coordinator said after the game that their entire defensive game plan had to change when Drob got hurt and Tate came in to replace him.
What I would look at is what Illinois did vs. a comparable team to Minnesota, in Indiana. A pass happy offense with a senior qb with little talent at wideout and no running game. Illinois pasted Indiana by 30. Minnesota has big time issues, and if this game goes a couple scores in favor of Illinois early, this game could easily get out of hand, fast. Plus, Illinois isn't to happy with their defensive showing and still have a lot to play for, as they are not bowl eligible. +21 isn't a horrible choice, but it could be 40+, much like when Minny played Ohio State. I would be willing to bet the Illinois defense will be looking for a shut out after last week.
As for the Michigan/Purdue game, who knows with UM's defense.. but one thing is pretty probable, their offense will put up 40+ on Purdue. If Purdue wants to cover this number, they will have to keep pace with Drob and that offense, which is certainly possible. But, with all the injuries they have on the offensive side of the ball, thats still asking a lot. Michigan did become bowl eligible, but for every win from here on out, it enhances what bowl they attend. Also, a side factor in this game is; Rich Rod has a huge beef with Purdue's coaching staff that dates back to a situation that happened last year (to much to explain in detail) but make no mistake, he wants to pound this team. RR is in a situation where not only does he need a BIG win for his team to keep up confidence for their last two game sin Wisconsin and Ohio State, but he also needs to get the AD and Boosters off his butt. He needs a big statement game here to show them he is indeed going in the right direction. Playing a tight game to a horrible Purdue team won't be acceptable at this point in the season, especially after that horrible outing at Penn State.
With all that said, personally I don't think they are BAD picks, but they are a bit risky considering other games on the board, imo.
Good Luck!!

Just for Football10 ...
Posted football plays ytd (nfl/ncaa): 59%
Winning record, hot streak, accurate lines.
Btw, I saw in another thread that Football10 is not posting his plays because anyone using his plays would go broke in 2 weeks (his own words). Funny.

And for the other guy who said that no one is following me:
That's great news ! I don't want anyone to follow. I post my picks, and I don't go into other people threads to start shit. Those who can't cap shouldn't bet.
Will be back with the reminding plays later this week.
