Interesting, not sure if that applies here because UNLV was a 7 pt fav up 4 at the half, so that was right on pace.
The fact they they weren't -3 should have been the red flag. The books were giving the public a chance to get the home fav at a better line.
That means they opened themselves up to liability, but they knew Syracuse was the right side.
