OK, grabbing lines early...
Auburn/Florida over 66. 2 units. If Bama couldn't slow them down, not sure if FSU will do much better and FSU will score. Could be another Missou type game.
Washington State -3 1 unit. Cougars simply have more talent and have played a more thorough field of good teams to not be favored. Wassu should open it up in New Mexico. Unsure how the Rams stay in this.
USC -5.5. 2 units. And this line may drop further. Yikes. Another game with a huge disparity in talent. David Carr, blah blah blah. SC beat Stanford. Fresno State has played essentially dog poo when compared to the Pac-12 talent USC has and has played this year. Injuries to SC are the only thing keeping this closer than it should be in my book.
Oregon State -2.5 1 unit. More unequal talent poo. This is not old Boise State. Petersen left because that place had run its course and he couldn't even take down the Mountain West anymore - at least not with this team. BSU lost this year to SDSU, Fresno, Washington, and BYU. Oregon State was murdering teams until it hit the 2nd half gauntlet of its schedule - ASU, USC, Oregon, Washington, and Stanford......ouch. With Sean Mannion and being much more battle tested than BSU, Im taking the Beavers.
Bowling Green -6. 1 unit. BG f'ed up Northern Illinois. Pitt cant F up anybody. Bg definitely picked up steam as the year went along but Pitt seems stuck in mediocrity. BG will get the win for Dave Clauson.
Northern Illinois -1.5. 1 unit. Lynch...despite him screwing me in that MAC game.
Minnesota -4.5 1 unit. Better overall quality of wins and opponents. Oh and Syracuse is garbage with its inept offense.
Oregon -13. 3 units. Mack Brown blow-up day if he hasn't left. He needs to leave before this travesty. Baylor showed Texas couldn't keep up with a high powered offense and I THINK Oregon qualifies there. And that was with everything on the line. Players know Mack is dead man walking and if he leaves, the team is lame duck anyway. Meanwhile Oregon needs to show pollsters for next year its still to be feared. 30 point blowout.
Arizona State -13.5. 1 unit. Same reasoning here. Texas Tech looked great against patsies but in the 2nd half against real teams on the road it sucked it up pretty bad. And this will be a road game for Tech as San Diego will be an ASU hive. Taylor Kelly + Texas Tech's giving up 50 points a game = blowout.
South Carolina +1. 1 unit. Wisconsin has a great team and should have beat ASU but South Carolina ran through a much tougher schedule. I was there firsthand to witness Connor Shaw beat Missouri in Missouri and I expect similar heroics in this game.
LSU -6.5 (buying half) 1 unit. Who needs a QB with that defense? Iowa will get smoked. What is with the Big 10 fodder for SEC teams theme?
Missouri -1. 1 unit. Oklahoma State was exposed for what it is - a very good team. Missouri and its defense are a great team despite the fact Franklin is like a poor mans Braxton Miller.
Baylor -15.5. 1 unit. UCF looked good versus South Carolina but they were without Connor Shaw most of the game. Another good team versus great team argument.
Alabama -15. 1 unit. Sooners shouldn't even be here. Epic collapse by Oklahoma State. Bama and Saban will be motivated enough to drop the Sooners by 21+ after Stoops said SEC is overrated and their defenses arent as good as they are cracked up to be. Stoops - prepare to put foot in mouth.
Vanderbilt -2.5 (buying half). 1 unit. Another game where the talent level is disparate. Although the SEC getting these lesser quality opponents is nauseating. Cant wait to hear SEC SEC when they didn't get any real match-ups save the title game.
Ohio State -3. 1 unit. Probably the only time a game will land on the 3 and I wont buy the half. Clemson is probably going to get slaughtered. They cant stop a tough run attack (see GT game) and that's all OSU does with their army of giant human beings. OSU defense stout enough to slow Tajh Boyd. However, could be a let down spot for Meyer after the MSU game.
