No official play....

But I got a bad feeling about Hawaii this week.....

Back to Back to Back road games for Hawaii.....

Hawaii owned UNLV for 3 quarters, and absolutley gassed in the 4th......

4,000 miles for the most brutal road trip in the WAC, and maybe any conference......this doesnt include a long ass bus ride from the airport......

Hawaii is already in Houston practicing so this is somewhat mitigated....

La Tech has played a brutal schedule, and their running attack never had the time or opportunity to display what I know they can do......

UNLV's offensive line absolutely leveled Hawaii's d-line as the game went on, I am sure La Tech can do it to Hawaii much worse........

For some odd reason, maybe because Hawaii has been beating the shit out of everyone for the last decade in the WAC not named Boise, La Tech has taken an extreme disliking to Hawaii (remember the Colt Brennan game? 15 yard penalty before the game even started for doing the Haka 100 yards from the field?)....La Tech fans and Team probably hate Hawaii more than any other team in the WAC.....

A conference win here for 1-2 La Tech is worth way more to them than a win for 2-1 Hawaii eager to get their asses back home and play in front of their fans.....

Just some thoughts.......maybe a play later......

I kinda agree Hawaii. Plus the fact the Home team has a ridiculous winning percentage on Wed games, if I read that right. At any rate, you have some great points bro, TY for the insight. GL this week

They're practicing in Dallas, not Houston.  Full practice Monday and walk through today, with the short flight to Louisiana this afternoon.  All systems go.

they were here a whole week and still lost they didn't go to the strip, yes UNLV is all offence no D

Each game is different from each other. Each year's team is different from last year's. Don't take too much into trends.

Im confused by the title of your thread. It sounds like you think La tech is in trouble with the hawaii passing attack, but then state that La Tech should out man them. Just confused.
 
Also, Hawaii has the #3 qb and the #3 and 18th receiver in the nation....unless you got different stats than me...

Greg Alexander is still rated #1 by rating, dunno about total yards but he was #1 last week.

Note Hawaii's two receivers have only played 3 games whereas all the receivers now have 4 game stats.  Hawaii is on a skewed wednesday schedule.  As of last week they were ranked #1 and #2 respectively.

I think the real question here is whether their defense still have legs in the 2H to stop and drag down La Tech's RB.

Hawaii is +4.5 ONLY bc they're off the island. 

La Tech's one win is against a D2 school. 

SO what they'll be hyped for Hawaii coming in. You think they weren't hyped to go into Auburn? I know Hawaii isn't Auburn but hyped only gets you a good opening series, maybe two. 

They're scared of Hawaii- La Tech is giving away free tickets to Grambling students just to get people into the stadium.

BOL to whatever you play hawaiiguy. I'm holding steadfast on the Warriors, even at my shitty line at +3.5. I would have thought the line would shrink to La Tech -2 or -1.5 by game time, which could still happen, but despite Hawaii being the 'supposed sexy name', most of the money has been coming in on the Bulldogs. Very interesting line movement to me...

No Complaining About Travel This Week
While Louisiana Tech often is at the top of the nation in miles traveled, this is a week where the Bulldogs have no right to complain. LA Tech will be hosting its second consecutive home game while Hawai'i will be on the road for the third straight week. When the two teams kickoff on Wednesday night, LA Tech will have traveled 3,212 miles this season to date while Hawai'i will have traveled 19,624 miles, coming off the island for the third consecutive week.

Greg Alexander, btw who is built like a linebacker, went to the same HS I did.  We have the weakest HS football program (Piner High) probably in the nation, so it is just amazing to even fathom that this HS can produce a D1 college QB. let alone the number 1 rated QB the country.    As for this game, I like LaTech.

His #1 rated QB ranking might be heavily skewed with the level of competition Hawaii has played...but just as long as he can play like he has the 1st 3 games, I'll take it.

and this response is for cutback also.  You guys forget he is a transfer from Juco.  He was the #1 rated QB in 2006 coming from a JUCO school.  He started last year and is now in his second year in the system.  Now yes that is not D1 but look at any power house school in the nation and how many on there roster are transfer that start.  Sometimes some of the best recruits in the nation are transfers.  He is not a freshman or sophmore keep this in mind when evaluating him.

Also keep in mind last week the temperature at NIGHT when they played was 96 degrees.  Now in Vegas that is dry heat.  I don't know anyone outside of living in Vegas that could play in that type of temperature.  And yet they still fought till the end.
