The only reason to bet the money line is in a parlay to increase your payout odds.

I.E. I am taking MSU +7 parlayed with the NC money line.

Obviously a $100 bet on MSU alone would pay $90 but if I add NC on the money line at (-340) the payout is $147.

This is not my favorite strategy but it's the only way I can conceive a money line bet.

This is probably extremely basic for 90% of the guys on this site but never forget people like Ozzygoose exist here and they need the help.

I will tell you why...

A $4000 bet in your scenario does NOT pay $3000 as you suggest.  The parlayed odds of the two teams on the ML pays 0.67 to 1.

So a $4000 parlay actually pays $2680. 

STOP MISLEADING PEOPLE WITH YOUR SHITTY SYSTEM.  There is a reason multiple cappers on this site are completely dissing ML bets (unless on the underdog).  I think everyone here likes to make money so if it worked we would all be doing it. 

Everyone here is trying to save you from yourself, take the advice.

I just don't get it.  All it takes is one of these "NO WAY THESE GUYS LOSE THIS GAME" bets to bust and all of those little gains are erased in one huge miss.

it was previously stated but 8 large is 8,000, not 800.

people with "tiny little ballz" bet donkey MLs. you have to win 4 out of every 5 donkey ML bets just to break even. if it was that easy, everybody would do it. i'm just trying to help you, take it or leave it. and it was my first post b/c i usually just read what people have to write but your post made me create a profile.

and although its only half time, are you a little hot under the collar? if that first half wasn't reason enough NOT to take donkey ML bets then i don't know what is. even if the ville wins, the risk is NOT worth the reward.
