Good day for me personally yesterday. Bad day for the teams I root for. And for Mick Cronin. Is there a more unlikeable person walking this earth currently than that guy??
1* Rutgers/Penn St Under 148.5
Neither team is really "defending" anyone, as they rank 18th (PSU) and 16th (RU) in the Big Ten in defensive efficiency, but do you have to really defend someone if you know they can't make a jump shot? Let me introduce you to the least effective offense in the conference, the Rutgers Knights. Following nearby is Penn St at 13th in the conference. Penn St is traveling all the way back from the West Coast, and they are the better team, so I think them being the in the actual travel spot, despite it being a home game, helps on the under.
More to come, just wanted this in before tip

Cleveland St has the 5th worst defense in the country statistically speaking. They gave up 102 to Wright St last time out. Good news is, they scored 90, and the offense is actually effective when they don't turn the ball over. They shoot the 3pt shot at the 19th best clip in the country, and the flightless birds of Youngstown don't defend the 3 at all. Both teams love to chuck 3s, which means we will need some to go down, but I don't think either defense has much to say in this game, and both teams get into the 80s.
1* Alabama Crimson Tide -3.5
Love Arkansas' guard play, but they meet their match tonight. Philon, Holloway and Wrightsell are about as good of a combo of guards that anyone in the country has. Then they have the rim protector at the other end in Sherrell. No more Bediako talk. He's gone, the team can get back to playing basketball. They are likely much better without him than they were with him. This should be an awesome game, in an incredible environment. It's been a month since the Hogs have played a team of this caliber, so if they come out flat and get off to a slow start, this one could get out of hand quickly with how well Bama shoots the triple.
1* Clemson Tigers -4.5
Smash spot for the Tigers. They've lost two straight. One they got caught looking ahead to Duke, the other was Duke. Now they get a Wake Forest team that isn't very good, but have won two straight. They must be on top of the world now that they are 4-8 in the ACC. Brownell will have his guys pissed off, and ready to physically beat the shit out of the Demon Deacons. I think they get back to pounding it into Welling and letting him take over, and taking advantage of a very soft WF interior.
1* Richmond Spiders +4.5
This game was just played in Richmond and Davidson won by 25. They also shot 52% from 3, and 54% from 2. Blums and Friedrichsen combined to shoot 9/15 from 3. That's gonna be hard to duplicate. So is Richmonds 26% from 3 in that game. This line is telling us that this is going to be a revenge game worth watching. While the Spiders may not win, i think its a one possession game at the end.

Andy Kennedy just called out his guys and essentially said the same thing that Jerome Tang just got fired for at K-State. They were 12-22 on layups in the Tulane loss the last time out, and Kennedy spoke his feelings on it afterwards. That, along with practice the last two days, probably haven't set well with the Blazers, and they are ready to beat the brakes off of someone that isn't a teammate. Temple has dropped two straight, and head to Witchita next. Not a total look ahead, but its worth mentioning. UAB will win this game, and it will be done on the defensive end of the floor.
1* George Mason Patriots -1.5
Desperate spot for the Pats. They've dropped two straight for the first time all year, and I don't think they will lose three in a row. Tony Skin has done a hell of a job at his alma mater. Their offense should be able to withstand the pressure that Dayton applies, and that's most of the battle vs the Flyers. If you turn the ball over, they will eat you alive, but if you can hold off that pressure, they become very beatable, as we have seen.
1* Lehigh Mountain Hawks +9.5
The first meeting went to double OT and Navy escaped. I just have to think that Navy is going to slip up one time before it's all over, and while tonight probably isn't that night, I think a double digit win is as unlikely as a Lehigh win.

The Penn St/Rutgers game going over is enough to make me vomit.
1* DePaul Blue Demons +7.5
I'm not sure Seton Hall can score enough points to cover this number. They play great D, but their offense lacks any punch. DePaul has revenge here from a couple weeks ago, where they lost on their home floor by 7.
1* St Marys Gaels -9.5
This game is NOT being played on campus for Seattle, which is a huge blunder by the athletic director. I get you want to sell more tickets, but don't you want to give your team a chance to have a home court advantage? They will get nothing of the sort in this NBA-esq arena. It was a nice season for Seattle, but they got blown out in the first meetings, and they will get blown out in the second meeting.
1* Missouri Tigers +3.5
Probably not a team in the country that needs a win more than the Tigers, and to get Vandy in this spot, with them hosting in state rival Tennessee next, is just what the doctor ordered. THe size of the Tigers inside should give Vanderbilt issues at both ends. As long as the Commodores don't get too many second chance 3s, Mizzou should win this game.

In the 1st half of Rutgers/Penn State, ten fouls were called resulting in 10 free throws. In the rigged 2nd half of Rutgers/Penn State, 27 fouls were called resulting in 35 free throws. There‘a nothing we can do when we’re unaware of a predetermined outcome.
