I like to do my own handicapping and then come to this forum to see what others are thinking, and hoping we are picking some of the same sides. Most would say that isn't the greatest thing to do because I'm just looking for other to confirm my bias. Guilty as charged! I will say sometimes we are all seeing the same things on a lot of the same games. I appreciate what y'all are putting out there.
Today I decided to post because I like a some of the games tonight. Good luck to all whether you follow or fade.
Valparaiso +7.5 - This team has been playing some close games. They certainly don't win them all at 11-11. They will need to slow the pace against a Bradley team that can score. We may be white knuckling at the end, but that will be fun.
Miami Ohio -4.5 - I probably have some recency bias here, but this Buffalo team is 4-6 in their last 10 and only 6-5 at Home. They are coming off a 1st half beat down they suffered to Ohio University who isn't exactly a juggernaut. I just don't see the streak ending to this team. Is that some real technical handicapping?? Hell no!
VCU -7.5 - VCU can flat out score and they average close to 10 three's per game. They have won 5 in a row. I love riding streaks. I watched the entire VCU vs Davidson game last Saturday and they frustrated the heck out of me. They could just never pull away and looked disinterested against a Davidson team with zero rim protection. You would think that would give me pause. It doesn't! VCU still won pretty easily and I never felt they were going to lose with their superior talent to Davidson's. They will continue their streak tonight against a Fordham team that lost to that same Davidson team as they faded away in the 2nd half. I don't see Fordham keeping up with the scoring of VCU.
Have a profitable evening.
