GS/LAC 1Half Under 115.5 1U ![]()
5-5 so far +2U
So I wanted to share this with everyone.
Alright you know how much I love system bets and trends. I rode favorites losing at half for about 500U profit. lol. I wanted to show you this.
Luong has come up with a system for NBA. You can see it in the sytems and startegies forum.
So this is Luongs system:
Take NBA games.....Go over past 5 games of each team. Take the total points of each team in game scored in first half and figure average (add them up and divide by 5) Then add the two teams average. If it was under the total set for 1half then play it.
Well the system went 1-2 last night and 2-3 tonight. It is 16-9 overall. But check this out. I noticed this today. If the under does not hit then double your bet on 2half. It makes sense because if they score more than there average 1Half then they should slow down by 2Half. So here is how it played out today. If you put $100 on each system play and double down for each loss this is what you would have ended with today.

GS/LAC 1Half Under 115.5 $100 ![]()
GS/LAC 2Half Under 114 $200 ![]()
Final record for day!
5-3 +$500 (Vig $80)
Net Profit $420
It is a little more juice ($30 more juice) But other than the $30 it would be the same as going 5-0.
Every one that didn't hit 1Half hit 2Half. I am going to follow this until it costs me money!
I am not for sure if this system will hit everytime. Could be a coincidence but that is also what I thought about betting on favorites losing at half and taking them for 2half and I rode that money train from +130U to +785U. But then also didn't get off in time and rode it down 100U. Lol. Just pointing it out. Who knows it might hit the rest of season this way. Just something to keep an eye on. ![]()

Ok, I just picked a random game that you did not play and went with the logic here...
Atl/Ind
Atl's L5 1H Totals: 46, 53, 54, 46, 51 = 250/5 (50)
Ind's L5 1H Totals: 62, 59, 52, 49, 54 = 276/5 (55.2)
So with this logic, I would say that the 1H u105.5 would have "barely" qualified for the trend, right or does the number have to be a certain number of points below the lined available total? So then avoid the 2H if the 1H wins, correct? Below is the line movement for this game...
Also, was there an correlating information to support these plays considering the recent matchups of these teams 1H total play?
Pinnacle Line Movement 1H Total
I will have to look at this more and watch for a week before I wager but I love to take the 2H unders when teams exceed the 1H total by 15+ points.
Granted, I set my own lines (lol, guesses but I think I'm decent at doing so) and go from there but the three prominent factors I look for when capping are recent matchups (NBA L4 or 5; NCB L3 years...coaches tendencies and styles tend to last longer), line movement last 30 minutes off of the original line (I do not care what happens during the day...more false action than anything to entice bettors, watch Matchbook and Pinnacle for lines, Pinnacle and 5Dimes for totals; e.g. I played Scaramento +13.5 (b .5) late last night and early movement indicated this was solid...then all the Cleveland backers saw no Evans and said "easy" right but if they looked deeper Sacramento was 9-1 ATS as double-digit road dogs [now 10-1] and Cleveland was 0-2 or 0-3 ATS in the next game following a SU dog loss when lined as (+5 or less) and then being lined as double-digit favorites), and weird trends that I pick up throughout a season (Detroit is horrible ATS in the 3Q; Houston is the third worst 1Q ATS road team in the Association).
In sum, I do like trends, especially for totals but I think the NBA is harder to judge accordingly -vs- NCB totals.

I'm peacing out Ry. ![]()
Let me know the parameters of this trend when you respond back and your thoughts.
Btw, that Pistons 3Q trend would have failed miserably tonight but it has been pretty reliable this season.

First of all I would like to say wow and thank you. I definately asked the right person for their opinion. I want to thank you for putting time and effort into looking at this.

Alright now to answer your questions from first paragraph. I will list questions so you know what I am answering. Remember I have just picked up on this system as well so very new to me as well.
So with this logic, I would say that the 1H u105.5 would have "barely" qualified for the trend, right or does the number have to be a certain number of points below the lined available total?
From what I understand from his system is if it is under by any amount then it is a play. I was thinking of adjusting system and for every 5 points average is under you double the units but then you might be putting yourself in a riskier situation if you had to double up and lets say the average under was 15 points under set total and then it goes over...You would have already tripled your unit size and now you have to double. So not sure about what could be done there.
So then avoid the 2H if the 1H wins, correct?
Yes if 1half hits there is a no play on 2half.
Also, was there an correlating information to support these plays considering the recent matchups of these teams 1H total play?
Luongo doesn't seem to have anything about matchups. Just the points scored. I was also thinking about this and had thought. What if we took average of opponents score that was allowed by team? That might be something to think about as well.
I see the line movements so maybe that would not be a play considering it was for the most time at 105. But he also will play the over on some games. I am going to have to ask him at what point does it become a play? 1 point over or under or 3 points, but I guess we could adjust for whatever works.
I know what you are talking about setting your own lines and basically making educated guess. I have mad respect for you because I have tried that and I am never anywhere close lol.
I am not good at NBA and maybe it is because I have never paid attention to some of the things you are pointing out that you do when capping NBA. I will definately start looking at line movement before tipoff.
And I agree with statement about NBA being hard to judge on anything in my opinion but on totals as well. I would love to try this system out in CBB as well. I am still trying to figure something out. I am sure you saw me follow the 2half trend all the way up. Of favs losing at half take them 2half. I just kept upping my plays and playing more and more every day. My record on January 25th was 125-121 +31U and then I got all the way to +786U and then rode it back down because trend ended. I love finding trends and figuring out ways to make them work. I just need to learn to get off them before I come back down lol.
Again I want to thank you for putting this much time and interest into this. It is highly appreciated and hopefully we can figure something out here that will work for a while! ![]()

Thank you 222. When you aren't that good at picking sides and capping individual games, it makes it a little easier to think outside the box. lol.
I will definitely by here for MLB. I know I said that in kirbs forum but it was also after wallstreetcappers (covers linesman) Decided to take something that I said to Kirbs, highlight it and go out of his way to start confrontation. He told me to "Get the hell out" I thought it was opposite of what was productive on this site. I felt that not only was that statement unneccasary but also very unprofessional. He made himself sound like the haters on this forum. He did make me want to leave and go to different forum. I came to a realization that he is in the penalty box a lot and had probably been exposed too much to the lack of IQ level their is in the penalty box. But still he seems very confrontational and doesn't seem to be calming people down or letting them cool off. Instead he tests people and dares them to do things. For instance telling kirbs.....Go ahead I dare you to make another alias. If that was me I would have. Aren't we supposed to do what the linesman tell us to? And guess what would have happened....Banned! I think he likes to flex his muscles in the position he is in and he has probably went out of his way to piss people off which ultimately would cost his company money. Look at me. I have never been out to say rude things to anybody and he goes and takes something that was said to another member and tells me to get the hell out? So I thought for an instance.....well if thats what you want....Fine. But I have realized that I like this forum and will not let a peeon in his position ruin my whole experience. So I will be here. But wallstreetcappers has lost all my respect. I was also told....well the site will go on with or without you....Well that is true. I am sure that if 50 people in every town decided to shop at Target instead of Walmart in every town that Walmart would still be running but isn't the idea in business to get as many customers as possible and keep as many as possible happy? Isn't that how you maximize your profits? Again entry level employees do not always understand the business side of things. And wallstreetcappers might have been around for a while but still at bottom of totum pole so I have taken all of that into consideration (Most would not have taken any of this into consideration and left)
So bottom line....I will be here for MLB. Lets hope I can find a system there as well. ![]()

I agree. I am letting it go now but it rubbed me the wrong way that is why I made that statement. It is sad that I am the professional one in that circumstance lol.
I hope this NBA system continues to hit. I will do the same thing I did with the 2half system. I will slowly up my bets and make it as profitable as I can but please tell me its over when its over. That is my biggest problem. Having the discipline to know when it is over! And not riding it back down like I did with 2half plays.
I also followed another system from the forum yesterday. I don't know why that forum isn't more populated but kind of like it that way. But the other system was any team that is blown out 2 games in a row and line is set below 10. Yesterday was Twolves against suns. Twolves +9.5. Despite being down by 35 at one point in game. They came back within and covered. I will be following this one as well.
Well off to my quarterly drugtest for work. Wish me luck. lol.

222bad From what I understand you take the average from only 1half. I will have to look at exact averages for game but just for the sake of examples we will say that. Raptors first half average is 41 over last 5 games and Hornets average points scored in first half is 53. So you add those two totals which would be 94. If total is set above that then you play the under. If the under does not hit then you double down for the under 2half. ![]()

Raptors first half average is 41 over last 5 games and Hornets average points scored in first half is 53. So you add those two totals which would be 94. If total is set above that then you play the under. If the under does not hit then you double down for the under 2half. ![]()
