I was stunned when I saw the opening line of Bama -7. I was thinking -2 at the most. Vandy is the better team here.
I agree that Releford is the key for Bama success tonight. Vandy's perimeter defense has improved dramatically since Ezeli returned, the key to their 7 game winning streak. If that continues, Vandy not only stays within the number but likely wins outright. If they revert to pre-Ezeli or last year's D, Bama covers.

for you? of course! lol just real general tho cause i wanna catch this vandy game in a minute
FAU was 21-11 last year and 13-3 in conference and only lost center Brett Royster from that team. I still think they're going to make noise in the sun belt this year, they just look like trash after playing #11 non-conference schedule and #19 overall schedule in all of D1. They've also been without their starting point guard for a couple games, and he returns to the lineup tonight.
“They had a tough pre-conference, going on the road so much,” Maestri said. “They’re really good in terms of experience, but they’ve just had, to me, too many road games. I think they can beat anybody in the league on their night.”
Think tonight's one of those nights. Troy's extremely young and in flux. They're making lineup changes tonight, and said they will continue to throughout the year, and it's pretty clear they don't have any flow right now. Both have had rollercoaster seasons, but I'm willing to lay the short road chalk here.

5-6-1 yesterday. there goes the 8-day win streak. but the 8-0 teaser streak since Saturday continues, hitting my biggest teaser or 2012 on xavier/tulsa.
bunch of leans, only one i'm officially adding whenever 1h lines are added:
valpo -whatever 1h
Take a look at these numbers. Below I have Illinois-CH's 1h point total for each game, followed by their 2h point total for each game, followed by the average deficit/lead at half.
so if i say:
25/26 -5
that means they scored 25 points in the first half, 26 in the 2nd half, and were down 5 points at halftime. Here are all of their games this season in reverse-chronological order:
25/26 -5
17/31 -15
22/36 -7
24/30 -3
18/30 -10
20/39 +2
31/33 +5
25/32 -8
17/41 -30
12/35 -20
18/23 -4
34/30 +9
23/28 -5
32/29 -3
23/38 -5
18/31 -10
I said this earlier in the season: Loyola's a perennial "slow-starter" They average 22.4 points in the first half of all D1 games this year. There have only be 3 games this entire season when they havent been down by at least 3 at half: #304 Canisius; #340 Chicago State; #233 Fordham.
So we'll likely be getting a -3 for Valpo tomorrow in the first half. Potential let-down MAYBE in the first half as this is the conference home opener and the first home game after a 3 game road trip, but I'm not buying it. Valpo just upset Cleveland State, sure...but they're still a relatively up-tempo team and I'm not expecting a hangover to Loyola.
valpo up 38-22 at half
