like Nova , but been a good while  (1999) since the cats have had a win in morganton- while its understood the teers seek a defensive type game  I'll go with the sizzlin hot cats of nova to stay hot and post an OVER winner for us tonite,,NO side play for me

Bird is right bout they have done this to teams with either like playing styles( Marq Guard heavy) or just noth that great of D(Cuse/USF). I would say they can play however you want them to play, since beating Pitt would speak for itself. As many know I have been begging people to start giving Nova some credit, but this is a bad spot for them. WVU needs this game, they are home, and match up wise, Neers will rebound and have longer guys (Butler) they will frustrate the Cats like Ville. I really think this line is right on, but have to lean Neers in this one. You cannot keep up winning streaks a lot longer in the new BE. I will not bet against this NOva team with the way they are playing, and agrre that they won't be putting up 99ppg ave they have the L3, but I expect them to get around 70. And since I think WVu wins, I like the over in this one.

I'm a Nova fan, so I have some bias obviously, but Nova IS a much better team than West Virginia. However, Dwayne Anderson, our starting 3, probably is missing the game. That's a pretty big loss, as Nova's rotation is 8-deep. The 8 players are all quality in one way or another, but Anderson is typically a good rebounder who can defend multiple positions.

4.5 is way too high though. WVU might cover, but if there's one thing I know about my Wildcats it's that we rarely get blown out.

And don't be fooled by the 100 point outbursts. While Nova can absolutely score, this is a defensive-first team. I'm sure Wright wasn't too happy with the defense, though much of the high scoring has to do with the tempo.

I'm definitely worried about this game as a Nova fan. Friday night in Morgantown could be hell. However, we're definitely a better team. Having seen WVU play a few times, their ratings on KenPom and Sagarin seem too high for me. They're not that great.

And at 4.5 points, you can get the better team and still come out winning even if they lose.

The only thing stupid about that is you spelling stupid with an O. And the lower ranked team to higher ranked team has been a very good angle so far this year. You would know that if you had any clue what you were talking about. The forum is STUPIDER for having people like you in it.

I agree with you Good, I believe Villanova is a winner today.....against good D, big men or teams with an extra player on the floor, they just get the job done.....like they will tonight....BOL

They took Pitt out and Pitt took care of WVU in WVU Coliseum in Morgantown.  Pitt has a similar D to what WVU plays so Nova should be able to beat them like they did Pitt
