I read todays paper (nc) and heres an interesting stat.  Out of all of the teams from the Big East that the ACC played none of them made it to the tourney - St Johns who the ACC bullied 4 times this year.  My point is the ACC played all of the weaker Big East teams and this is the reason why DUKE will go home thursday....not out coached but out played


I did not even notice this when I was looking at the head to head matchups of the BE vs. ACC. I knew they beat up on the lesser teams but didn't realize they didn't play one tourney team from the BE.

Great stat.

ILL- You mean Jay Wright vs. The Rat. And I am not saying anythign to put him near Rat, but he has doen a great job in recruiting and coaching these guys. Nova makes it farther in the tourney, or at least Seed wise to where they should be. Every yr they make the tourney, he has gotten them to the Sweet 16 and only has lost the eventual NC. 
 
NC- Sorry, I thought you were takign the over. Again, if Puke goes with the Shhot it out gunfight, bad news for them.
 
And again, I love the Cunnigham/Singler match up in Nova's fav.
 
My man problem with the BE backers has been the lack of respect this Nova team has gotten. They usually make a livng on the 3 and the FT lie. Obviously, since its Puke, we don't knwo how the game will be called.
 
BUT... IF they pull this out, beating the Basketball Gods gifts tot he world UCLA/Puke, I think maybe people might say something

Don't be mislead by the 2 Nova wins thus far in the Tourney, UCLA had a down year and American relied to much on their little guards. I do however think NOVA has a great shot at winning SU. Key is Scottie Reynolds again, He's been dreadful of late. I do like Corey Fisher though, he's doing his best KYLE LOWRY impression out there, driving relentlessly and hustling his ass off on D. Not sure, if Duane Anderson can keep playing offensively like he's been but he is a senior who does a lot of things well. If Nova hits there 3's and defends the 3" well. I don't think that just Henderson's driving and 15 footers will beat Nova.
 
Also, remember it is DUKE. And nobody even Carolina gets the calls more than Coach K. There's something to be said for the most tourney wins ever. 
 
Be Careful wagering on this one. It really is a tough call. Myself, even though I like Nove. It's a PASS.
 
Ps, if Stokes ever starts hitting his shots regularly, watch out NOVA could win the whole thing. As usual, take this advise for what it cost....NOTHING !!

I meant Coach K got the most tourney wins though I could be mistake. I thought I saw CBS put that up during their Texas Game.
 
Carolina gets there fair share of no calls to be sure. Count the amount of blocking fouls they get when their running the Offense and the amount of charges they get called on D.

I am not here to disagree with anyone. Cunningham is not a legitimate big guy. He is a 6-7 forward playing out of position because they don't have much inside size. Everyone thinks he will own Singler, I personally think Singler's size will allow him to hold his own. Duke is far superior shooting team. The announcers were busting their load last game cause nova had 5 or 6 threes in the first half, they average 6 for the game. You cant compare the texas game because Texas has 2 or 3 inside guys that are 6-10 or bigger. Pittman also weighs 300 pounds. Nobody on Duke can handle him. Do I think Nova can win? Ya but this is the same nova team that played amazing the first half of the marquette game and then shit the bed in the second half barely to hold on to a 2 point victory with no dominic james. Marquette is a decent team but they have no inside game, they are not as good defensively as duke and they are not nearly coached as well. Duke is also playing the best they have all season. Henderson will be the best player on the court. I need Duke to win for my bracket but this game is tooo tough to cap. I like Cuse and Da ville. Zona sucks. They could barely beat a cleveland state team that was undersized in every position and went 2-26 for three. Most of the threes were open. I was at the game.

I have a nice futures bet on Nova and think its looking pretty healthy... Duke is due to shit the bed and when they due nova will be there to capitalize. I've been pondering whether to start betting against Nova to hedge a little down the stretch but I could never bet on Duke. Can't wait for Thursday

Duke needs to be left open for easy shots.  Nova closes on shooters so well.  Scottie Reynolds should own Scheyer.  The more I examine this game the more I like Nova.  I like the 2.5 points just in case the refs try to hand it to Duke late.
