Weasie, traditionally Iona v Siena are close games so I would be wary there, but judging from my alma mater's performance against St Petes on Friday, I would tend to lean Siena on this one. Iona is however a very dangerous team this year when they are knocking down the 3 ball. Rossiter and Ubilis seem to give the Gaels fits in the recent meetings, but if Iona shoots better from 3 pt land than they did Friday (8-25 32%) this one could be very close.

i know this is a basketball thread but just want to say been following you for 3 weeks and you are turely the best and classiest capper on this site.  Thanks so much for your Seattle play in NFL yesterday.  I was heated after going big on Tampa Bay and the 5 INT's thrown (4 in Carolina territory and 3 inside the 30 yrd line I beleive) and I had to go big on a 4:00 jon.  Saw another credible capper taking Seattle as well so I had to throw down and it wen down to the wire but we got that $$$$.  Should have tailed you on ZONA last night too but Headache is a credible capper and didn't think he would go 0-4.  Also, thought Warner may be playing hurt. 

Had Bama big on Saturday and that was quality too!!!

N TEX is very good at shooting freethrows and this could play a big role down the stretch of this one as TAM has been horrid from the line. N TEX beat Rice due to huge bench contribution from Johnson who they are saying is out tonight with an ankle.  I see your angle with in-state rivalry and the fact UNT has a veteran road warrior team.  That said, TAM does not get the respect they deserve by handicappers as they are not flashy and they don't have stars.  They win with solid defense, rebounding and smart ball control offense that focused on good shot selection.  That combination IMO makes it hard for big road dogs b/c they can't rely on the favorite getting ahead of themselves and taking bad shots, not taking care of the ball or boards.  All lines are subjective, but this has the feeling of a route.  Maybe this is why you fade.

Fade what I am not fading anything. North Texas will be the better team tonight. I wouldnt call taking 144 3's through 8 games good shot selection. They have played against 2 quality peremiter D so far this season in Minny which they barely won and WVU which they lost. Like I said N Tex loves to create offense through there defense and this is a type of match-up I love where a team sits on the 3 and jacks it up. The route happening is if they put on a clinic shooting the ball. I dont see it happening has N TEX has a balanced team who can limit turnovers and TAM does not force turnovers.

Fading the public whose $$ is on TAM.

I disagree that a 3pt shot is bad shot selection when it comes from within the context of your offense.  They play inside out, and allow their guards to dribble drive and kick which gives them open 3 pt looks.  I agree that this opens up the potential for a cold shooting night which is obviously a risk.  That said, teams who shoot a lot of 3's need to rebound half and UNT will be undersized to start so I see the boards being key. 

As for TAM past performance against WV & Minnesota you are talking about teams coached by Bob Huggins and Tubby Smith, two of the best defensive coaches in the business.  I don't think anything UNT does or has done will compare to that and the fact that AM has faced that type of competion just strenghtens my view.

BOL on UNT.  I just disagree on this one.

Why would you want to take Auburn?  Auburn could not even beat Troy but I guess Auburn is due for a win.  I'm going to unload against Auburn on Thursday when they go to Florida St.

BOL UNC....on both as well.....was able to catch 14 with N Texas...Im hoping this is just the public money pushing this line higher bc TXAM and SETON HALL are the only 2 big named schools playing at home tonight and obv the public loves to pound the home favs...I reallly think Ciitadel covers tongiht and the line movement is making me think so even more...i wish i would have grabbed 16 when i had the chance..i think i lost somevalue at 14 and it is most likely a no play for me...here to a 2 and 0 night  BOL bud
