Uconn does very well in OOC games for a reason. Their offense is tough to guard and if you arent used to it like the BE teams, youre in for it. Dont think they win it this year, but easily could see an elite 8

MSU has no chance.
MSU has no chance.
ISU has no chance. They play like a 7-8 seed. So does Gonzaga horrifically overrated team and that won’t make it to final 16. Miami FL is a sleeper not Miami OH lol some of the posters on here are hilarious.

Virginia is an under the radar pick to get to the Final 4 for me. Quietly 24-3 and riding an 8-game winning streak. Won at Louisville (I know, Brown didn't play) and very handily at NC State. They can still defend but are playing faster now and have a lot more weapons offensively than in recent seasons.

My top 4, based on talent"
1-Florida
2-Duke
3-Michigan
4-Arizonia.
All these teams pass my eye ball test.
Darkhosuse: Alabama. Their strnght on loss is crazy, and they play a style that gives oponents fits. Very good coach.
Deep Dark horses:
Sanata Clara, St Louis. Both play a style of play most top teams havent seen. Well coached, play hard, easy to root for. Would be nice to see them make noise.
2 I dont like:
Texas Tech, Michigan State. Topin out is major loss. Tech goes through long periods where they look mediocre. Michigan State identity is too tied to Fears; he is too volatile. hurts team

One dark horse that no one has mentioned is Tennessee. The Vols have won 8 out of 9, they play defense as well as anyone in the Nation, they’re fundamentally sound, and they’re well coached.
They should finish the season at 23-8 or 24-7 and head into the SEC tournament with a lot of momentum.
Color the Vols dangerous come March; particularly as a 4 or 5 seed (they should be a 2 or 3 seed IMHO, but probably won’t be).

Interesting…. Several good options out there… few things I’ve noticed lately…….Arkansas does not shoot free throws well… Illinois did not box out well at all other night vs ucla … Mich st did not get much from their bench last game. Several teams have put together some great seasons… u conn and Florida have experienced big men… u conn is 25-3…. And gets very little love…. one team I didn’t see mentioned that has been good in tourney in past is Utah st. Should be good… Carolina was starting to gel also before their best player got hurt… should be good… interesting perspectives

Not sold on St Louis or Tennessee as mentioned above… St Louis has no physical presence underneath, and I’m not bi on the Tennessee guards executing down the stretch…
One team I’m pondering to reach the Final 4…
Kansas - tough 3 seed to beat in any bracket.

I have Duke to cut em down +900. Of course I had Duke AND Auburn to win it all last season, and they both made the Final Four, couldn't have been happier, 50% chance to win. And you know how that turned out, aargh... Duke choked it away against Houston and the Gators were just too strong. Duke, Arizona, and Michigan in the Final Four this year. I know, all chalk, but if they stay healthy they'll be in the Final Four.

Duke @+900
….took em myself @ +1200 and added more @+1400…
Cant see all 3 heavy faves going far…it ain’t March if there’s no Madness. I’ll be looking at every opportunity of betting against Zona or Michigan not making the Sweet 16.

One #14 seed on my to watch list…
Austin Peay… solid PG in Collins, PF Parker -50fg% and 40% from deep, and Coach is pretty badass - wears military gear on the sidelines.
Will be rooting for them during Conf ship games…

Utah State - been watching them a ton. Took em to win the Mountain West @ +550 early on… I love their guard play and how they get it up and down. My only concern is their big Templin… inconsistent and I can tell his confidence level drops when playing physical bigs. Def a team on my radar….

Austin Peay is located in Clarksville, TN, north of Nashville on the KY state line. Huge Army base there that is home to 101st Airborne and others. Coach Gipson has fully embraced supporting the military in the area. He graduated from Peay so he gets it. They're good. Good Thread - ![]()

Good info…Even more badass imo…I’ll be watching them closely…. Only thing I remember about them is the one arm kid by the name Emmanuel I think…for a coach to have him on his team shows the quality coach he is…looks for heart and effort more than anything… a great quality to have come March…![]()

Great stuff! I was lucky enough to put in and land a slot for Air Assault school at Campbell as a medical officer. Had a blast with the combat arms boys running our asses off and repelling down off of helicopters.
Go Austin Peavy!
