Hope you're wrong about wichita st. just curious why you like them and why do you like St.Mary's? I have seen nothing from them that tells me they can beat Memphis. So what if they played great against MidtennSt?

This Bucknell team has all kinds of experience, from NIT last season when they upset Arizona on the road in the first round to the first round loss to Georgetown in March of 2011 in the NCAA tournament. Their key players have experience from both postseasons and this season they look like a dark horse that can surprise people. They lost 5 games all season long, 4 of them by 3 points or less. Their resume has a road win @ Purdue, easy win against WAC champs New Mexico State, and very solid Kent State and La Salle teams, as well as a 2 point loss @ Missouri. Butler Bulldogs played way over their heads during the A10 tournament. They are now playing an early Thursday game after playing three games in as many days last week. They looked like Butler of old earlier this season but then regressed as the season progressed. They were 5-8-1 ATS in last 14 games after starting the season with a 13-5 ATS record in first 18 games played.

Play of the first round
Best team coming out of SoCon in several years. Not because of their 17 game win streak but because of their experience and depth. Solid out of conference performance with wins over WVA, Vandy, Richmond and Montana, and halftime tie at Duke. They also covered as road dogs at New Mexico in a game in which they had a 14 points lead at the half. This same group of guys lost by only 7 against Louisville last season. They are much better this season and they got a much easier draw. Marquette was good for two wins in the NCAA tournament last two seasons but key players from those teams are not there any more. They are not in good form as they closed their season with 3 ATS losses in a row and an early exit in the Big East conference tournament blowing a big early lead against Notre Dame in that game. I expect an upset here.
 
South Dakota State +11

Michigan is only 6-6 in February and March (2-10 ATS) while South Dakota State rediscovered their form late in the season winning their last 4 games including all three in the Summit Conference Tournament. The Jackrabbits have almost everyone back from last year team that lost by only 8 against Baylor. Their resume is once again filled with some nice games, like a 3 points loss (ATS cover) at Alabama, road wins at Montana and at New Mexico (both Montana and New Mexico only home losses of the season) and a 3-0 ATS sweep against North Dakota State, their biggest Summit rivals. Small play because of the venue (A.Hills, Michigan).
 
Harvard +11
 
New Mexico overused their starters big time during the MWC tournament. They had a losing regular season ATS record (6-7-1) against OOC opponents this season, compared to a very good 9-4 ATS record last season. Much more is expected from them this season than last season. That is the situation where teams like New Mexico usually fail. They made some noise in the tournament last season, and then they had a great regular season this year, so it is natural to expect a lot from them during the NCAA Tournament. Unfortunately for their backers, the Lobos got a very tough first round opponent that proved on many occasions this season that they can play against solid opposition. Harvard went 6-1 ATS as underdogs against OOC teams this season and the teams they faced were not bad at all ( Memphis, St.Marys, California, Connecticut, Massachusetts and B.C.).

California +3.5 over UNLV  UNLV has lost the first round three years in a row.  They are 6-7 on the road and the last time they played California on the road, they won 76-75.  All California today!
