And in this situation, the reason I brought up St. Mary's reliance on 3's is because Ohio forces teams to shoot 3's.   43% of there opponents shots have been 3's this year.  Thats gonna be the key in the game.... whether or not St. Mary's hit there 3's, cause there damn sure gonna be taking a lot.   Ohio is 11th in the country in forcing that amount of 3's.  And figuring, St. Mary's shoots just 33% from behind the arc, it is kind of a big deal.
 
 
The reason I didn't mention Ohio's reliance on 3's is cause there not gonna be shooting nearly as much due to St.Mary's style of defense.  They are giving up just 27% of FGs being 3's.  Thats actually the 17th least in the nation.  Add that to the fact that Ohio doesn't really rely on 3's... there gonna hafta take as many.
 
So given the fact that this game is likely to have about 65-70 possessions, the teams will shoot around 50 FGs..
 
Of these 50 FGs... St. Mary's will shoot about 22-23 FGs (considering Ohio's defensive style) and Ohio will shoot only shoot about 14-15 3's (considering St. Mary's defensive style.)    We can expect St. Mary's to shoot below there average since theres tired legs and third game in 3 nights.... St. Mary's will probably hit about 7-22/23.  They better be pretty damn efficient with the rest of there offense then....

anybody like the ravens tomorrow with troy smith at qb??...i know the ravens are hurting, but it always freaks me out when its so lopsided ...and i hate the seahawks...maybe smith make a play for starting job and makes it a game?

Ohio actually has a season long 3-pt FG% of 39 %
 
St. Mary's is only shooting behind the arc season long at 33%
