Kenpom accuracy?

Agst the spread? With those advanced analytics?? Just curious....never used em.  Thinking possibly if big gap between line and his rankings, might be of interest.

 I use his rankings and schedule strength since sagarin  stopped providing cbb info.  I have found just using his ranks and .sched. Strength alone typically doesn’t get you there, you need to look and categorize other data , which I do and have found to be successful.  Cbb is awesome but it takes me the most effort out of all the sports I handicap.   Bol to ya 

Gonna try NC here. Big discrepancy using his metrics.   Some have made the claim  of 73 percent straight up and around sixty ats. They r so widely used now ,I am of the initial opinion  some of their initial utility may have possibly been diminished.  Or,perhaps maybe not.  I am more of a football guy,betting wise, and w the tourneys approaching my interest in cbb has increased.  I looked at Massey too and kinda combined.

Let's throw in a little Sonny Moore too for the heck of it.  Now that they all support the investment in NC, watch em get blown out.  I realize there r  numerous intangibles that these nos can't reflect, but I'm curious nonetheless,esp this Kenpom which gets a lot of mention.

What happened to  Sagarin ?  Ole trusty. 

Gotten quite fond of teasers after tremendous success in NFL playoffs( esp Mahomes +8 two years in a row).  Wong teasers. I realize probably better in NFL than cbb due to lower score variance,but why not. I'm in Ga and friend big fan of Gamecocks. Stumbled last two after great start. 21-5. Getting 3.5 at Ole Miss.  Excellent coach. Bounce back.  So after my newfound expertise w these power ratings( kidding) , teased NC and SC. NC +2.5 and Cocks +8.  Duke intrigues me too the way they've played of late.

 Usa Today decided not to re-knew his contract so he decided not to do CBB anymore.    

Using his data along with other factors my picks so far:

1. Coc  -1.5 gm 

2. -.5 f/h

3. Houst -2.5 gm

4. Syrc f/h -3.5

5. Ark -3

The teaser worked out well. Both teams won quite handily. Still playing w house winnings from NFL ,so that mitigates some of the stress.  How bout KY? I thought something was up as they were favored in spite of being significantly lower ranked.  Understand this can be a potential edge, opportunity. 

Looks like the combo of Kenpom and Massey might be interesting. Combined w other factors...like SC being a very talented team,w an excellent coach( Ohio St may pursue), having played badly two in a row( regression today) and a week to prepare,rest.
