Actually, yes. I like rugged guards, he's also proven to be quite a shot maker - particularly given that the opposition is keyed on him. Very underrated.

Providence and ugly belong in the same sentence. Think you're spot on. Can Syracuse take care of two lessers on the road in a row without a little letdown? This is sorta Providence's National Title game and they have some slashers that will get inside the zone rather than just settling for outside jumpers. If they settle for jumpers, they probably lose by 40. Tough game, IMO.

Is okla st really 10-11 pts better than TT? I've watched OSU and their offense isn't all that great.. Leaning towards Texas tech, thoughts?

Sandwich spot for Drexel, but realistically, their offense should be able to score whenever they want, wherever on the court they want. In the last four meetings, Drexel's only been held under 30 points in one out of the 8 halves of basketball they've played against Towson. Past few years, the totals between these two have been in the high 120's to lower 130's, and you see the big drop this year b/c of the Towson offense. I think the Drexel defense definitely defends Towson well, but any concern I have going to the under would be how many points Drexel puts up here. If it gets out of hand early, then you're going to have the Towson regulars playing against Drexel's second team for half the game b/c Towson has no depth and their top 3 or 4 players usually play the entire game. I do think the under holds value, but wouldn't be shocked to see the Drexel offense blow up tonight. Towson's defense is baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad.

Neil you mention a few days ago that your playing the leans now as previous plays, etc. So I take it leans are now the 1*,2*, etc. of days past, so the question now becomes how to we distinguish its strength? or is that left for the imagination.

Master NROPP-  I am a big fan of SLU tonight over Dayton. I know it is the first away conference game but I feel with Dayton's loss of their 2nd leading scorer and three things stick out to me.  Mejarus is a hell of a coach to get his teams to be prepared.  They play really solid defense and lastly they can hit the 3's.  If they hit their shots I see them winning by 7-8.  Your thoughts?

  Also a possible look ahead for the Cuse with Marq up next.   Risky game, but 13 1/2 on the road might just be one or two possession too many in this spot.

Funny how after a few wins your are back to 'MASTER' and money bags NROPP! The bottom feeders on the board continue to amaze me. As with everything the 80-20 rule applies. I dont even think that there is 20 % true pro players who come here. I think I might be able to count on both hands the # out of hundreds that troll these boards adding 0 value!

You are certainly better than me making a continual contribution to this board. Cheers!

I am guessing you might be looking at Ill st +8 tonight. I am close to making an investment in them myself for various reasons.

If those times you have watched Oklahoma State came either against Alabama or Virginia Tech, those defenses are much much much much better than what OSU is facing tonight b/c they have length at the guard position and those teams slow the pace. This game should appeal to OSU a bit more b/c it will be a bit faster and the Texas Tech defense is probably the worst from a BCS conference perspective. As long as Page isn't guarded by someone 6'4 or 6'5 then the offense flows quite a bit better. Last year, Texas Tech's defense gave up 70+ in every conference road game except for one game (Texas A&M and you've seen how bad that offense is this year). Two years ago, Tech game up 80+ on the road in every conference game. Granted, they have Gillispie this year and he's more of a defensive based coach, but they're just wayyyyy too young to see the results.

You're correct. Not putting a strength on the lean, although I use to, but not in this style.

I think you got the right frame of mind. Not having Benson in the lineup, Dayton's going to be forced to shoot quite a few more three's and they attempt a ton already. Just a weird sort of logic in this matchup. In past years, Majerus teams have excelled at not even allowing the opponent to attempt three's, let alone make them. This year, it seems that all teams are doing against STL is shooting the three. 

And that's where I have trouble with this matchup. If Dayton is going to attempt three's and STL is going to allow that, then Dayton should have a decent chance. If Majerus goes back to the drawing board and blankets Dayton's shooters, then STL wins this one handily.

I think in a way, the fact that STL is allowing so many three's this year can be attributed to the fact that they've built so many early leads that teams are forced to throw up three after three after three to get back into the game. 

Think the under holds value here. Snails, Dayton's slow offense now missing a key piece, STL and the travel, and Majerus not allowing three-point attempts.

Nothing from me. Point to under. First meeting was on back-to-back this year and neither team cared to play defense. Should have a different feel to this one.

If Bodio   was   one of the best capper in the NBA ,Nropp  is one of the best in  College Basketball.

I have no interest backing an Illinois State team that depends on the three-ball on game 2 of the road-trip in a tough environment. Don't think they have anyone that can guard Weems either. With that said, definitely some value on the Redbirds with Patterson not suiting up. He was one of the few big men that Missouri State has that can guard the perimeter and come out and defend the Redbird bigs who will extend out and shoot the three.

Neill although Towson is bad they played a hell of a game last two starts and esp the cover getting +31 from Virginia on the road and only needing 7 to cover,,I could see them covering t nite as Drexel is also bad this year at 4-6-0 ATS,, I'll take the 20.5,,

Point Northeastern. Their defense is the type of defense that frustrates Buzz Peterson's offense. Total opposite of what NC Wilmington has faced last two times out.

Think the line is right. Haven't quite figured out NE yet this year.
