fist x5 of season........ iowa -29 ..... western michigan is the WORST shooting team in D1...yes, the worst..... they shoot 17.9% from 3 rankes 358th, 32.5% from 2 ranked 357th, and 50.0% from FT line ranked 355th. Michigan St beat them by 44 and Iowa should have a similar result. Further, Iowa runs and will push pace and get plenty of possessions for their amazing shooting of 37.9% from 3 ranked 69th, 58.8% from 2 ranked 28th, and 82.2% from the FT line ranked 14th. Iowa also has a huge height advantage and is the #1 deepest team in the nation, so even their bench will run up the score against a western team that is young and inexperienced, ranking 280th and 320th in experience and continuity from last year. Look for a 45-25 type half and a 90-50 final. Kenpom has Iowa as 33 points better on neutral so they should be a -37 at home where roles players/bench level of play is elevated, esp in this type of game where they'll see more playing time. Look for Iowa to go off

Both teams are similar and drive-and-kickout leading to FT opps or open outside shots. Both defenses collapse and allow the outside shot as evidenced by their high FT rates on Off and their high 3-pt allowances on Def. Look for a fast paced game with points a plenty. this is only a few x1 plays though bc both teams shoot sub-30% from 3, so not going any larger
