I have a feeling this could be the best March Madness in a long time.....

Every year i think its gonna be wild, and sure there are a few upsets, but there is usually a top 2 or 3 teams that have legit shots.

This year? I honestly dont have a team circled yet. Tonight is a good example:

Duke losing to a mediocre Canes

Minny losing to NW

Creighton losing to Drake

Wich St getting pushed by a 5-15 Mo St squad

Then you have Cuse, LVille, Duke and Kansas. All play solid, but could be had at any time.

Zona, Butler and Zaga are gonna be tough outs, but I really dont think they have the complete squads needed to win it all.

The rest of the top 25 are teams that can be beaten by any team (within reson of course). I mean Mich St, NM, Mizzou, Ohio St....etc 

That leaves me woth Michigan and Florida. Most consistant 2 team imo.

Sleeper teams would be NC ST, Ole Miss and Oregon....

 

Should be an awesome opening weekend. Could see the 1st #1 seed lose

I totally agree...which means to be extra careful on bets...anything goes...I will be heading out to Vegas for the first 3days of the tournament...I'm going to have to practice some serious money management while I'm there,  if not I will be broke before the end of my vacation......

Butler is not the same without Rotnei.  If he's healthy, they will be my favorite longshot.

Miami is much much better than mediocre and they showed that tonight. I don't think a number one seed will fall to a 16 this year

and georgia gave florida all they could handle for more than half the game  .......butler  gonzaga   ...then ya got crayzee wildcards like an  alabama with their D all hangin around  what about stony brook?       ....  heh heh  madness  yup

Yes i have some thoughts!!  As in in I agree with you totally.  Being very bias here cause i was born and raised in Sokane,  but Zags could win it all no doubt.  With all that you said though I agree.  What a night last night!  Michigan and Gonzagas frontcourts are amazing,  florida as well.  Billy Donavan and Mark Few are outstanding coaches.  Im a Zag fan and its tough to say but I think the Butler loss was a good one,  always good to keep things honest.  It is a very diverse top 25, very volatile.   Should be interesting,  and can make for some tough betting!  or does it?? .

Miami ain't mediocre. All 3 losses came with multiple key players injured. I believe they have a top 5 rpi. They are the sleeper.

Train, what is incomplete about Arizona? This team may not lose again this year and will be a # 1 seed come March. I like their chances to do some serious damage in the tourney.

Granted, I'm a bit of a homer, but I'm also the first to admit when AZ has problems. And this year,  I don't really think they have an achilles heel.

With that said, the field does seem much more wide open than in the past..... # 1 ranking has been a musical chair

I legitimately see 30-40 teams that could potentially make a run to the Final Four.

Sorry dude Miami is far from mediocre this year.
Coach L is getting the max out of these kids.
Larkin is small but a sleeper.

A few folks have already brought it up, but to say that Miami is "mediocre" is borderline insanity!?!?! Last night was a bit "over the top" as far as how they play on a regular basis, but if they stay healthy WILL be no worse than a 3 seed with the possibility (the way #1s drop like flies in the polls this year!), as high as a #1!!!!

Duke, however, is SEVERELY overrated! That WAS proven last night!

And for the record...I'm a Nati Alum and think that they too were overrated at #8 a few weeks back...but a very solid "all around" squad!

To the posts above, Miami is impressing me.

This March is shaping up to be awesome. There are literally 20 teams that have a legit shot to win it all. After round 1, I think the bracket will be as closely matched as ever. 32 teams and 1 on a hot streak could take it all. Would love to see a 6 seed or higher go all the way.....

Totally agree ... The only team impresses me so far is Miami. I think Memphis and Florida will go far (probably championship).
