Hello All,

I am asking for a favor here.  I am getting ready to place my largest single wager of the year and I thought this forum would give me some alternate opinions.  I am usually against laying juice over -200 but this line seems a little too easy.  Holm -275.  I watch pretty much all these fights and have seen Tate beaten badly 3 times.  I hate to use the term free money but all the "inside" information I hear has stated that Holm has been absolutely locked in since the Rousey fight and has no way let it go to her head.  Rousey beat Tate twice.  Am I missing anything?

Jumped on the CAL Bears bandwagon again. Fearful I have done this one to many times considering my luck with betting on visiting teams!

At least I go down with some good company on this thread if that happens!!

The end of that UNC/Duke game was a bit too close for comfort...but UNC gets the

Bubba this is a good matchup for Tate imo. Plus laying 275 is never a good idea look at the Penguins today.

Got a few parlay cards still pending n no more chase for the evening moose games for me. Learned my lesson.

Agreed.. Shwooo it was 68-62 and my heart was pounding. Not worth all this.. Hah! 

Anybody got any feel good about games 8-12?

Iowa +3 for 2nd half seems juicy.  Adding .1U to my $$$$.  I think they could win by double digits here. Good Luck All.

Im a huge Duke Home, but they are so thin that i think they are wearing down a bit at the end of the season....see Pitt last Sunday and the struggle with Wake earlier in the week.

UNC getting stronger and healthier at right time.  UNC stinks at shooting and if Duke hits ridiculous amounts of 3s they beat anyone.   If they are mere mortals they lose this game.

FWIW, I've got Holm to close out a parlay. But I'm a square when it comes to MMA so take that with a grain of salt

Thanks Dees.  My vote is for Holm so the tally is 1-1 right now.  If I get a strong consensus I will place the wager.

Tried something new!! I $$$$ Yale -1 and didn't bet the game...which is why they won by 14!!!! I think games you like a lot...but dont bet them come in even more!!!!!!

Can you please explain why you believe this a bad matchup? Holm is much superior with her striking and can easily defend takedowns as she demonstrated with Rousey (who is superior to Tate in this regard). She's trained by one of the best camps in the world who always have a complete gameplan. And Holm isn't out making movies, appearing in SNL in her downtime. She is a born-fighter who as Bubbleski alluded to is reported to be 100% focused.

I know several media outlets claiming this might be a bad matchup but a lot of them are shills for the UFC trying to garner attention for the fight so I don't bother to pay attention much to what they say. So curious to hear your input as to why it's a bad matchup.. Agree way too high a juice to bet single handidly so I have this in a parlay. Thanks man.

@VTDon  Sorry I had Pepperdine -4 so it was a push.

@Rio I am in 100% agreement.  I didn't mention this but doesn't the UFC want Holm to win to setup a Rousey rematch which would draw 10x as many viewers as last time? What am I missing here?

Bubbaski - I asked my friend who follows MMA closely what he thought of the Holm/Tate matchup, and he said he would be shocked if Holm lost.  Convinced me to put a bit on the fight but just 1u because of the big juiced line.

You aren't misssing anything. You make a great point! I remember hearing Dana White saying that he'd have to be the dummest promoter ever if he didn't set up a rematch between them as their next fight (this was before Ronda called it off saying she wanted time to recover). The UFC is a business first and foremost... I don't think they'd chance the potential to blow what would be one of the most lucrative rematch fights in UFC history to set up this fight if they genuinley believed Tate could beat Holm..

I mean, Tate's not going to knock Holm out. She's not going to strike her way to a decision. It's going to be very difficult to put Holm on the ground (an olympic judo medalist couldn't even do it). Tate is trained by her gump boyfriend while Holm is under Camp Jackson/Winklejohn. Everything screams Holm.

However, all that being said things like an undisclosed injury (which can affect performance) and/or terrible judge/s are way too common in the fight game.. so personally I just don't like laying that kind of juice unless I have it in a parlay.

Cot dam that marshall game was sweet. Down large 1h. Came back hard 2h to tie go overtime. Down by 2 with one min left. Won game by 3. My insurance bet taking most big fav and buying down to -2 hits. Just like a ml big fav parlay but i play -2 for better odds payout.

What a day n what a game. Moose me b4 n now i give the moose back. What comes around goes around n justice was served for me today. Was going to fade marquette to get my personal revenge too. Lol
