It is tough to distinguish "ovverrated", but someody earlier stated Raymar Morgan because he doesn't show up for big games. I "HATE" players that don't show up when it counts. Wayne Ellington was no where to be found in our biggest game of the year. Is he overrated though? He has been lights out ever since his pathetic performace against Duke. Tough to define overrated but I will take my best shot...

I agree that Dominic James is overrated. When he came out as a freshman with McNeil and Mathews, he was supposed to be the best of those 3 and the  great new player for Marquette . He was supposed to be the new Dwayne Wade.  If anyone remembers who Dwayne Wade is or was, they'll realize that James has fell far short of those expectations. This year and last year, he's constantly used injuries as an excuse.  He should be leading the team in points scored and he should be the guy to confidently go to when the game is on the line. Bottom line, he hasn't produced on the court up to the expectations that were assigned to him originally.

The Tyler comments are so laughable because some of these numbnuts are trying to use the "college vs pros" comparison.  No ladies, Beasley is better than Tyler in high school, in college and will also be in the pros.

Psycho T is breaking records in the ACC, what is Beasley doing ?? Besides breaking Melo's double double record ??

Everybody knows that Beasley will be a great pro and Psycho T will not....Beasley is a beast, but he still is not a better college player than Hansborough.....Maybe if he stayed around he could but we will never know......

e-season All-Acc and if you have seen Virginia play this year he has been great at times but invisible others. He has had an atrocious year by his standards of past performance. Even if you don't think much of his supporting cast which I agree with you about. That's why it's a tough debate I think

Gordon is a better scorer, largely because Sampson gives him carte blanche to run around power dribbling and taking bad shots.

He definitely is not Overrated...If the kid had some help like he did last year in Reynolds he would be perfectly fine....I mean why not double team Singletary because he will kill you if you dont...This kid takes over games by himself

You could definitely make a case about Bayless being the top guard, and definitely more of a natural scorer. Derrick Rose will be much like Jason Kidd in the pros, except a better scorer. Eric Gordon turns the ball over too much, and takes bad shots. The talent is there, now he just needs to be more disciplined and stop forcing plays.

Papi I Know he doesn't have alot of talent around him but his team has quit...He is the leader of that team, if you are pre-season All-Acc I expect more of the intagibles too

beasley IS a better college player this year tyler...he averages more pts,rebs,asst,steals,and blocks than tyler...if he did stick around for 3 years he would easily have a better career than tyler, but he wont be around that long.

I dont understand what Psycho T has to do to get respect.......He is dominating the ACC and gets disrespected.......The kid is 6'9....Beasley is a beast but Psycho T is the best player in the country hands down....And nobody can say that the best player in the country can not go to a freshman when it doesnt happen shit year because it happened last year in Kevin Durant

and lets not forget that tyler gets bailed out by the ref's 75% of the time when he throws his body into the defense and jacks up an off balance shot just praying for the refs to bail him out...if you have watched any unc games this year, you see this all the time.

DJ Augustin is the only player on texas team. Barnes is the worst coach in the country take ur blames on the coach first. put chris paul or steve nash on a team with no one who can shoot they will over dribble and force up shots. abarams is a good streak shooter but he likes to shoot of the dribble so he and dj do not mesh well unless they are both attacking the bucket.
my overrated player would be ellington from unc because without a pass first point in lawson he cant create for himself and disappears.
also anyone from memphis because they have no marbles.
