La Salle +2 (1 unit) So much to say here, gonna try and keep it brief. Brad Stevens is the best coach in America, hands-down. Everyone knows of his March exploits and the manner in which Butler competes in post-season tournaments. Thing is, previous Butler teams were better built to win post-season games. This year's iteration has a number of fatal flaws, namely an inability to protect the ball against pressure. Why? No true point guard. Against La Salle today, BU will face a 4-guard lineup that spaces the floor and forces individual matchups at every position. Why is this an issue? Well, with Steve Zack out for the Explorers, La Salle will go something like 6'1, 6'2, 6'5, 6'5 in the backcourt (Jerrell Wright is the lone "big" man). All four of the guards are terrific shooters. Butler's help defense is tremendous, but I don't think they have the personnel to match up with this guard-centric attack. At the other end, La Salle simply refuses to give up perimeter shots. Yes, they can sometimes get beat up inside, but who is going to get Marshall and Smith the ball? Barlow? Clarke? Jones is the best "pure" point guard, and he's more of an undersized forward.
Hard to go against Brad in March, but I simply cannot ignore the matchup issues present in this game.

When is the BOUNCE BACK? Just kidding. You are honestly one of the best and knowledgeable guys on this forum!!!
Keep it up. A piece of advice - ignore the idiots like Syracuse Joe - don't even respond to the stupid stuff. Your thread is a 100% must for me EVERY DAY.
I hope you know (and you are smart enough to realize it) - 98%+ on this thread LOVE your work. (Even Obama only got 53% of the votes, so maybe you aren't Obama, you are better). Just PLEASE ignore the idiotic comments and hopefully they go away.

are all your 1 unit plays as thoroughly analyzed as the la salle call? to me, that reads like a 1.5 to 2 unit play. what kept you from doing it? just curious. great work as always.

i know you don't post many 2nd 1/2 bets, but do you make them frequently? you have a good knowledge of the game and can spot great betting opportunities just looking at a game on paper. i would think getting a 20 minute look would only increase your edge.
