First Post W/Writeup Murray st vs Colorado St

Hello this is my first post to covers and I hope it will benefit you in making your play selections. If you don’t like it that is more than fine by me, just fade me. I will go over the games I feel most certain on and give a brief explanation on why I am choosing this game. Gambling isn’t easy especially during conference tournament play, but lets get some big dough.

The key to me in this game will be TEMPO- Colorado st is one of the slowest tempo teams in the ncaa running the play clock down to 15 seconds or less before running their offense. Murray St is not the quickest tempo team either as they sit around 164 in tempo out of 346 teams in the NCAA. The advantage here goes to Colorado st with a slow tempo and shooting in the upper forty in fg percentage I believe this favors Colorado st.

Both teams have no height and are evenly matched

The public is betting hard on a Murray st racers team who really haven’t proved themselves with IMO no quality except over southern miss ( saint marys is garbage ). ESPN putting Mr. V in the seats when they played se miss st made everyone believe in this team. Don’t get me wrong they aren’t bad team as they went  30-1  , but in almost all of their games they were favored by double digits.

Home crowd will definitely be Murray st as they are a little under 200 miles away from lville

Murray st 4-0 wins over San fran, southern miss(ot), ten tech, ten st. Average margin of victory was 6

Colorado St 3-1 wins over Southern Methodist, Jacksonville St, TCU and a double digit loss to san diego st. Average margin of victory (3 games ) 21.

Neutral SOS definitely favors Murray St here

My prediction of the game line was

Murray st by 1 and 134

The best bet in this game to me is taking Colorado st in the first half as they always come out strong and finish the half strong. The game line is way to high at five IMO. The first half is a big bet bet for me as followed both of these teams strongly this year. I believe the tempo will favor Colorado st in this game and they have a real good shot of winning this game. I would never lay more than one possession with Murray st in this tournament. There is a reason Murray st is a number 6 seed with that record. The conference they play in his horrible as Colorado st division is above average.

If Colorado st shoots 46% and Murray st has under 53 fg attempts Colorado st will cover the spread.

The tempo might start out at fast, but it will slow down through a good portion of the game  IMO.

Game- I agree with you they do play in your face around the perimeter, but I truly believe they will look for inside game and then work outside the arc. They shot good on threes versus air force and new mexico towards the end of the season which of real good 3 point defense.

jkirk- it doesnt worry me to much about not winning outside of colorado, remember the main bet is just winning the first half. BOL whichever side you choose.

As long as colorado st can get a little bit of the outside game early i think they'll be alright. I also think csu has a gameplan for canaan and hopefully can minimize his chances of scoring.

I promise if this one loses i wont be one and done

I know there road record is bad but this is on a neutral floor. In all of there neutral floor games they have been leading at the half ( main play is for them to win the first half )
