Last night, Jacksonville State (306) was +6.5 against Eastern Illinois (284).  Jacksonville State won OUTRIGHT by 10. 

Another win for the pre-system.

Think it got up 7 on Matchbook too - I am not sure how I overlooked that one as well - glad we will have a new 10K eyes looking for the system plays

Thank you for the excellent detail on this system!  After reading the entire thread I am a believer and look forward to following the pre system and then making the move on the system.

Updating since I'm an idiot and overlooked one other system play yesterday! Yikes - thankfully I have thousands of friends who can now make sure I don't overlook any others

Jan 29th "Pre" System: 6-0

#293 Samford -6.5, LOST by 19 (system win)
#184 Miami (OH) -6.5, LOST by 5 (system win)
#226 Bowling Green -7.5 won by 5 (system win)
#259 Portland St. -9, won by 6 (system win)
#180 Penn -9, won by 2 in OT (system win)
#295 Eastern Illinois -7, LOST by 10 (system win)

Jan 30th "Pre" System: 1-0
#236 Illinois State -6.5, won by 2 in OT (system win)

Today, the two games that were "almost" "pre" system plays went 1-1, Siena -11.5 won by 2 for a Niagara cover and CMU got blown out by Akron. 

*Keep in mind that Drake wasn't a system play for me as I didn't get 6.5 on Matchbook, but many in the thread did and they asked that I include it in the system summary so there it is.  It really doesn't matter to me either way. 

I'll start a new thread when the Monday lines are out on Matchbook and will post any system plays in there - please refer all system questions to this thread so that we don't have duplicate questions in the thread we start too

KP,

Thanks for sharing your system with ohers that you don't know.  As you stated most people never mention how their "system" works and then after a couple of losingdays disapear!  Your idea is very promising and as others have mentioned, if you looked closer at the situations and conferences, it might make a difference.  I'm sure you have a large classroom full of students here that would do some research for you if you desired. I've always considered RF's the worse bet in all of sports, so these low rated RF's are probably also losers.  It would be very interesting to see how they fare! Since you are jumping into the action early, it would be wise to not force any plays as you wisely explained!

Once again.....THANK YOU....for your insight and research with this system.

One quick question....

In looking back to last year's results, did you notice a trend with the ones that lost?

For instance, like today's Central Michigan system loss, Akron was an "almost" system play because they were #178. But CMU was an even worse #280 ranking in Pomeroy's rankings.  I'd be interested to know when in this situation when 100 spots seperate them in the rankings, if the home favorite actually covers more often.

Just an interesting angle I guess....

I think I touched on this a few pages back, there are a couple of factors that are involved in the plays that lose (mainly being the health of the starters of the road dog), but even with that factor, there are more than number of losses there are more system wins even when an injury is present. 

The more "stipulations" you put on a system, the weaker it becomes so we don't want to start making "sub" divisions of our 3 system rules.  I would argue that Akron winning is because they are a decent team (hence the Top 180 kenpom ranking).  I'm only pointing out "almost" "pre" system plays as to point out games and sides that people would normally not look at or consider - nothing more.

1.  when are you officially declaring the actual start of the system?

2.  you mentioned earlier that this system plays is going to supercede any other plays/systems, correct?

3. unofficially, are you gonna start your system earlier, looks like some people already did?

I wish all the other successful cappers on this site, ie. totals gurus share their formulas for all to follow as well!  We are all in this together.

It officially starts on Feb 12th. 

I'll be betting the system plays even now though and yes, for me, the system will supersede any other leans I have for that particular game.

Actually they do not. If you read what Kine posted below, all their games are not lined games, so they are not part of the system.

*LAST IMPORTANT NOTE - One of this system's strengths is that it plays on public perception BIGTIME.  What I mean by this is that once a bettor has been burned by, let's say, The Citadel, they are most likely not going to bet on them again and will in fact be looking for reasons to bet against them, remember how sucky they were for them when they bet on them.  For this reason, we DO NOT include teams that don't have their games with regular lines (meaning that ALL of there games DONT have betting lines).  So teams from the Atlantic East, Atlantic Sun, Great West, Northeast, Patriot League, Southland, Southwestern Atlantic, and Summit conference aren't system plays.

I believe that part of the system has to do with teams regularly playing games that are lined and the MEAC teams wouldn't fall into the category. I could be wrong but I think that in one of the first few posts, he mentions this.
