How many all star appearences between them?  Not as many as Vince Carter, and that's only 1 UNC Tar Heel, not a very valid point.  Is Duke a top 15 program? Yes.  Are they a Top 5 porgram?  Not any more.  We can argue this point as much as we want the proof is in results, and in their case the results have not been very good on the national level.

basically no big time nba talent for a team that is always near the top 10 in college basketball.  I believe one reason Duke is as good as they are every year is because they never get that big time nba talented players so their teams tend to stay together longer and develop not many players leave duke early for nba.

If you consider Laettner and Grant Hill all-stars then apparently you're just a Duke homer.  Go through the all-star rosters of the last 20 years and you'll laugh at some of the guys who played in 1 or 2 all-star games.  Lattner and Hill may have played in some all-star games, but if you consider them elite players or perennial all stars then you really are confused.  Hill and Laettner were good players at the NBA level, but not truly all stars.  I will give you Hill, because of the injury problems he's had, but still he's not been a true all star for only 3 or 4 years in his career.

Though Laettner never became the superstar some expected, he was voted onto the All-Rookie First Team in 1992-93 and was an All-Star reserve in 1996-97.

Marino, i'll give you that they have talent coming in/back next year, just wait till Coach K gets his hands on Curry and the Plumees, they'll be just like all the other "talent" he gets his hands on they'll be playing in Europe or Coaching within 5 years of graduation.  By the Curry will be the one who goes to the NBA, and Coach K did recruit him right?

To be honest, i really dont care. I care about what Duke does. Not what duke players do in the NBA. Just making a point that duke has some good players in the NBA. Besides UNC has a bunch of busts themselves. By the way, Grant Hill is a Hall of famer.

that makes my point that coach k is a great coach example his team this year individually not going anywhere but he gets them to play as a team and maximizes talent

It's funny all you care about is what Duke does not who they send to the NBA, because it's ironic that the better the players you send to the NBA the better the teams they are in college. LOL

If Grant Hill is a HOF'er, then half of the NBA is gonna be in the HOF.  That is the most rediculous statement i've ever heard about a player in my life.  Grant Hill will be lucky to be there when Steve Nash gets inducted. LOL Grant Hill is a Hall of Famer!

I'm an ass, you think Hill is going to the hall of fame!

The coaches say it all the time, if they can have one thing what would it be?  You know what they say. more talent than the other team.

Duke is overrated, and if you think they're not keep betting them away from home.  Make sure you take out a loan to pay it off.  They can't win away from Cameron Indoor Rigged Stadium, enjoy laying them big numbers on them in the tourney!  Also, when they don't get all the calls in the tourney like at home and get bounced, I expect a Sorry, but i was wrong Duke is overrated Forum! LOL
