More Degen plays:

Georgetown ML (-120) for 3 units... I'm taking the better coached team here who should play with more discipline than the other. Solid coaching can provide much confusion and for young talent...

Austin PeayvsDetroit under 141.5 for 3 units... Detroit seems to be struggling to find find any half court rhythm without Eli Holman...

Well Mercer outplayed my expectations yesterday by hammering Niagara. I gave Niagara and the return of Antoine Mason this year too much credit and forgot that Niagara doesn't play defense (or just lack talent to play defense). I'm not going to try and talk anyone out of wagering on Mercer tonight as the fact that they are hosting this tourney is proving to be a nice advantage. It doesn't hurt that Mercer seems to be playing well. That said South Dakota st will be no easy task....

Odds --- surprised you're betting against memphis after you were so high on them the past couple days, but totally understand where you're coming from. i like the memphis ML, think they finally get a cover; GL on the under though

I'm still shy high on them as far as talent. But after watching them play 3 games already this season it's pretty apparent that the structure in the half court set is nothing more than a mediocre one at best (right now). As a coach on the opposing team you can force a team like Memphis into this dysfunctional set by slowing things down and not allowing your team to run with them. Which is exactly what Michigan did and Tennessee did in the 2nd half. If Cuonzo Martin didn't slow that 2nd half down against Memphis they may have lost that game by 20 easily, but as it stood he did tell his players to slow things down and it forced OT. Smart young 1st year head coach in Cuonzo for seeing what he did wrong in the 1st half. I give John Thompson III much respect and a decent shot at helping his kids sneak out a win for GT and leave much more disappointing from Memphis backers wondering, why in the process.  The Memphis players just do not seem to be on the same page yet. I'm sure that will come in do time though....

agreed. still love pastner and dont think it's fair to say he's a bad coach, in fact i think theyre one of the best coached teams in the country..just havent bought into the system yet...pastner is a tremendous coach teacher mentor and recruiter it's just early in the season...barton is good his talent is just unbelievably raw right now..and he needs to put some weight on..this team is gonna be sick...barton sophomore jackson sophomore baby jackson sophomore..crawfod soph and carmouche junior..oh and adonis is a freshman that back court has so much talent just young right now..and they gotta shoulder the load wesley is real real good but not a true 4 more of a 3 and tarik black is only 1 man

this isnt helping my case betting on memphis TODAY but damn i just love this team even though theyve burned me twice in 2 days and will again today. whatever!

He seems to be an excellent recruiter, no doubt. Nut his coaching although not bad is definitely one of a much lessor experience than many in D-1. I don't know exactly what your seeing to call Memphis one of the best coached teams in the country. I wouldn't even put him in the top #25 as far as coach's go right now (that doesn't mean he's bad). He's a 34 year old coach with much to learn behind the bench as he is currently in just his 3rd year as a head coach. His Pastner was one hell of a recruiter at Arizona and he still is here at Memphis but boy oh boy doe's he have much to learn in bench coaching spot. He's most definitely heading in the right direction but not even close to a top tier coach in D-1....

yeah i will admit i was certainly exaggerating by saying theyre one of the best coached currently. was more just trying to agree about the talent and point out pastner is moving in the right direction and will be a good fit for memphis' future. wasnt trying to argue or even disagree, just trying to downplay any hate pastner has been getting


good game thus far. looks like im on the wrong side of the bet here though...

I'm going to play the adjusted number of under 165 here as both teams are shooting great thus far and fast breaks and turnover's helped result in such a high 1st half total. The Whistles have been kept quite so far and think there is good value here...

Nice hit on the Hoyas. I was going back and forth and really liked them, once I saw your post I went ahead and took them. I lost about $2,200 yesterday on stupid bets and threw $70 in and already got it back to $650. Thanks for the post.
