    80-63-2 ytd netting +106.8 units...
    7-11 (POD's) -74 units...

Went 4-0 yesterday with all straight bets and still netted a combined +68 units on the night even after 2 small losses on a 3 team parlay and 3 team 8 pt teaser. 7-0 in the past 2 days on straight bet's netting +141 units with back to back night's sweeping the board on straight bets.  I'm actually 22-10 since saturday on straight bets now netting a total of +170 units in 4 days work. As always here's yesterdays thread below...

Right from the get go this is what jumps out at me:

Boston College +13 (A buy low sell high thought process jumps right into my head)

Uconn -6.5 (Haravrd has played well but how will they handle the offensive talent of Uconn)

Western Michigan +5 ( Both teams are a combined 2-10-1 ats meaning the books have been messing up number's regarding both of these teams early on. Western Michigan also has 6 losses vs teams that are currently 36-12su so that tells me they have played a solid schedule thuse far. Detroit seems to be getting better and much more reading needs to be done to have and end result on this game but Western Michigan has a decent offence and can score...)

West Virginia +2.5 (This will be Kansas states toughest test yet...)

Got's lots of reading to do as always.....

BOL to you as well. I can't believe the books had SIU favored in that game. Not sure we will have more opportunities to bet on Western Kentucky again soon. I read a person over on ESPN post howw Western Kentucky is on the rise and to look out. Then I read someone said they had over 122 in that game. I politely asked him what his angle was. He responded with this "dont know anything bout nccab, jst thout being a balla they could score 61 points each. aint that hard". I quickly left that chat room before I got soaked up in stupid...

Here was the link to that comment if you need a good laugh...

Those ESPN conversation boards are cesspools of stupidity. All jokes aside, some of the world's most braindead people use those boards to discuss their bets.

    Odds,

Good work tonight! I like UConn. Too much athleticism for Harvard. I know Harvard is good and all but UConn is going to be too much. Thanks for your insight.

I'm going to read into this game more too but I like Detroit. Western Michigan's only win has been against Hope, which might be a D2 team? Detroit lost to a pretty good Cleveland State team by 5, and an average Youngstown State team by 3. After being being able to knock off Saint John's, who isn't good but far from a bottom dweller, I think they'll be able to pull off the win and gain some momentum. I guess we'll learn more tomorrow with the line movements.

Odds how do you feel about the BC- Providence under 140.5?
BC is 316th in scoring at about 50/game. Lost something like 80-50ish against UMASS.

1.) Hope College men's basketball is the defending MIAA champion of last season a conference they have won 3 times in the past 4 years. They are currently 6-1 overall this year (Western Michigan was their lone lass)and are picked to win the conference again as they currently have 3 player's who are avegaing 55% shooting from the field (David Krombeen,Nate Snuggerud & Peter Bunn ) while also being the top 3 on their team to play the most minute's per game (That's quite impressive at any level). Hope has won their 6 games by an average margin of victory of 12 points per game so far in their 6 wins. Nate Snuggerud just won won the play of the week in the MIAA conference and Peter Bunn is a former all-conference 1st team player. So before you make a wager fading Western Michigan just because they beat Hope but lost all their other games I suggest you get educated on this D-3 team from Holland, Michigan before you just assume they stink like the dickens.

2.) After watching Cleveland state play as time goes on my level of faith is lowering on them. I also wouldn't underestimate the Youngstown state Penguin's as they have shown much improvment from multiple years of disgrace to D-1 basketball.

3.) I almost never let any type of movement sway my decision on any wager...

Well i'll have to read into it more, but initially under's in a Providence games don't usually mesh well as last season the Friar's were 16-10 to the over last season, and that was with number's consistently being set in the mid 150's to low 160's. Most of that was help by a superstar player Marshon Brooks who is now in the NBA but Providence is scoring nicely already this season thus far on offense without him already. But I believe this could be fools gold an you may be onto something here as Boston College's offense is pathetic @ 38% so far shooting while the Friar's are holding opponents to 39% shooting on defense. So I would lean to the under with you but i'm not making any play's until i get all my reading done...

Hey Odds. Nice work tonight. I tailed you on WK and won a bundle on the Iona ballgame. Nice night overall. I agree w your assessment on Conn and WMich tom night. Unfortunately, i really dont know much about Detroit so i will be doing some more HW as well. Either way, I think I will nab UConn at 6.5 as i could def see this # go up as opposed to down. Much luck, sir.

The one thing that jumps out at me is that Harvard wins with defense, not offense.

So it doesn't really matter if they struggle, question is, will Uconn?  The X factor is Boatright's successful return for the huskies last week.  That has to be a big bonus going into a game like this as he should contribute 10+ points.

Just a side - According to Don Best, not all major books in Vegas have that line at 6.5. It's at 6 some places so I stand corrected about getting 'a good line' at 6.5 w UConn.

Interesting stat re Detroit/Mich game (for the record, I almost never make 1st half plays)

Favoring: DETROIT on the first half line.
Play On - Home favorites vs. the 1rst half line (DETROIT) - a good offensive team (74-78 PPG) against a poor defensive team (74-78 PPG), after allowing 25 points or less in the first half last game
    (24-3 over the last 5 seasons.) (88.9%, +20.7 units. Rating=4*)
The situation's record this season is: (2-0 +2 units).

Play on Home Faves (Detroit) when a team avg 74-78 points v a poor defensive team (WMich) allowing an avg of 74-78 points, after they allowed 25 points or less in the prior games 1st half. This stat is 24-3 over the last 5 years and has hit at an 89% clip. Maybe a Det 1st half play isnt a bad idea ...

Detroit is a very fats uptempo team lead by the coach's son Ray McCallum Jr who turned down offer's to school's like Florida, Arizona & UCLA 2 years ago to play ball for his dad here @ UDM Mercy. Detroit was picked by many this season to win the Horizon conference ( I picked Cleveland st). However just after watching the early games play out up to this point I bet many would be willing to retract their statements on Detroit winning the Horizon after watching them continue to struggle in the half court set. Right now Detroit's succuss is hinged on the return of forward/center Eli Holman (From a stouid Frat party fight) and forward Nick Minnerath (Knee injury 2 minutes into the BGSU game). Although Lamarcus Lowe has been playing well lately he's more of a clean up guy and rebounder than a natural scorer. Eli Holman and Nick Minnerath are what make this team successful in the half court game and until they  have the like's of at least one of them back they will continue to struggle in that set. Some reports have surfaced about have surfaced about Eli coming back soon but tht remains to be seen as they seem to just be rumurs so far. Both are definitely coming back it's just unkown as to when. Iv'e even spoke recently with some people that attend that college and they are saying the same thing. So far it's been nothing but rumur's. I can say this though, you won't see me laying any point's with Detroit unless they get at least one of those 2 back...

I hate these type's of trends. Especially in CBB. In the NBA you can make some decent money trend betting but in CBB you will get murdered following these long term. Just cap the games to who you like and back your pick's up with solid research and analysis. If I can't write solid betting angle's supporting my wager's I find my self very hard pressed to make a wager. Track a seperate set of these trends as you find them. Pick the one's you like and let me know how they are at season's end. If you break 50% I will be impressed...

I couldnt agree w you more about the trends but as someone who really isnt familiar w Det, some of the research i do is to look for any unusual high % of trends somewhere. This was the 'best one' for this game. Truth told, the only conference that i feel most comfortable capping without doing extensive HW is the MAAC. Anyway, i look fwd to your picks and analysis tomorrow. Small card. BOL.

WKU was a beautiful pick today sir,

I was almost sweatin when they went down 6-0 to start the game.

Then I realized the other team was COMPLETE trash.

Best of luck tomorrow --> Keep those units flowin in!
