If no information is forthcoming, you might possibly consider an alternative donation to MADD (Mother's against drunk drivers) in his memory.

I didn't know him either but have seen him around...

regardless---such a tragedy    

Not that i wish harm on anyone, but something about the innocent paying for an idiot's preventable mistake just gets to me.

I(idiot) too have been behind the wheel when i shouldn't have been....immature mistake that left no one injured but thats not the point....i have learned life lessons; 1 important one from a friend that passed first year out of college this way.  A terrible truth is that often it takes a mistake to learn from.

Well GH, your message was well expressed and equally important---I'm sure it will resinate in people's mind the "next time". --- thats a positive out of a negative     

I wish peace to Tom's family and friends during this tough time in their lives as they are in my prayers       It takes a fighter to win a fight.

 Peace be with Outlaw. Drunk driving is just plain dumb!!!!!!!!!!! A $20.00 cab ride should be exercised while drinking away from home.

I agree with the fact that cabs are no brainer.  Hell we are gambling thousands on here.  There should be no excuse for any of us not be able to spend chump change to save lives.  My deepest sympathies to the family and loved one eventhough I just got on the site.

I lost an older brother in a drunk driving accident when he was only 19 years old and had his whole life ahead of him still. This is a horrible thing and even though I did not know Tom, his family will be in my prayers. They are both in a better place now.
