WIth a healthy Medlock for EMU and Brown's weak frontcourt, I could only lean towards EMU but I will sit it out.

I'm sitting it out.....i understand the intrigue of the 12 noon start, but with so many games on the board, it's not on my buy list.

The kid is a true leader. He runs their defense and is like having a coach on the floor. He takes good shots and is a good passer. He ranked 122nd in assist rate, 78th in steal % and the ball always passes through him on offense. He got hurt in late January last year in a game where he had 26 points in 28 minutes and EMU's season went into the crapper. He is a difference maker.

The initial open was 4...that lasted a minute...then I saw 6 and that lasted a few mintues then 6.5....still flying....at 7.5, I'd play it for a bit less but I think Colorado State is in trouble to start the season.

CAL POLY SLO +5.5 (2 UNITS) (4:15pm) - UMASS has to compensate for the loss of Lasme and Freeman, which are huge shoes to fill. Eight freshman and some unproven talent stepping into larger roles should make it a tough beginning of the season for Coach Travis Ford. Cal Poly will contend for the Big West title and have a HUGE advantage having taken a 4 game exhibition tour to Australia prior to the beginning of school giving them some extra game experience and 10 extra practices to build chemistry. That is gigantic when playing against a young and inexperienced UMASS team looking for chemistry. While the Mustangs lose Derek Stockalper, they do bring back 3 starters and many upperclassmen and should be able to win this one outright.
 
I love teams with good returning guards, and CP qualifies.  I might be tailing on this one.

GH - I was thinking about betting against my WSU squad. I want to take Eastern Washington +25.5. We have a great team, but because of our half-court style of play, we don't tend to cover big spreads. I looked at last year's results and we only won by more than 25 once all last season. We played a lot of similar teams to Eastern and didn't exactly dominate. What do you think about this game?
