BYU @ V Tech, thoughts?

I'm thinking about taking BYU ML tonight.  Does anyone think the cross country non-conference trip will really be an issue, or that BYU might be looking ahead to the St. Mary's game on Sat.?  From what I read this is a huge game for both teams, I just feel like BYU has the better players.  Anyone from Utah or Virginia that might have a little more insight then me, or thoughts in general?

Eric Green is a very good shooting guard. they have played everyone tough when i saw them against Syracuse and MN in MN.  BYU is good but I think VA TECH the more athletic team.

Horrible spot for BYU here. They've gotta travel to the east coast and take on a team that's better than just about any they've faced all season. Not to mention they have to do it in the middle of their conference schedule with their two biggest conference games on the horizon (St. Mary's and Gonzaga)... really couldn't ask for a worse spot for BYU here. I think they get trounced.

Then also VT is coming off upset of Virginia.. Got a letdown vs a east coast trip and a look ahead.

As I stated in my thread (I'm on V Tech) I can't deny this could be a let down for Tech and a rough spot, but for BYU I see it as a horrible spot. That's about as simply as I can put it.

I think you're right on the money with this assessment.
Terrible spot for BYU. longest trip they'll make all season and during the week no less. VT with a spark beating UVA on the road .

Va tech always nails at home,has lost some close games and been up at half on most of them including UNC few days ago. They will play full 40 mins and finish this one,BYU is decent but nothing special,especially on the road

Not arguing with u as im not touching this game... I was just stating the other side of it.

If BYU gets hott they will beat VT
If they are cold they will get smacked all the way back to Provo

Va Tech been on the bubble last 5 years it seems.  This year probably no different.  They are in desparate need for every quality win they can get.  I thin VA TECH or nothing tonight.

Horrible spot for BYU and VT desperate for a win to climb back into the bubble picture.  No play for me on the spread, but I am on the under 141.  VT's half court offense has been STRUGGLING to say the least.  Under has hit 5 out of the past 6 and they always come out and play good hard team defense.

That about sums it up perfectly. I won four units ML on Va Tech at Virginia on Sunday. They still need some quality wins though and I think they take this by 8-10.

VaTech has a PR of 107.4 (#73 ranking)

BYU's ATS record vs. teams ranked between 51-100 is 4-0
Va Tech's record vs. teams ranked between 26-50 is 0-2

BYU getting 2.5 points.  I'd take BYU.

I lean VA. Tech i think this will be 1 of the more interesting games of the night. Not saying the best game but the most interesting. BOL to everyone

I still don't understand what people see in Va Tech.  I have watched this team play a number of times this season and never been impressed.  They are not a good offensive team, and really are only good defensively if they can get a team to play the pace that they want.  This game could definitely go either way, but I don't see BYU falling into that trap and slowing down their game.

Well said DD....congrats on the Aztecs win last night.  No respect by the linemakers, but I hope it continues.
