Every year in college sports we see the same usual suspects at the top. I expect that to continue with these two teams being high seeds (1 seed or 2 seed) come tournament time. Every year come tournament time a Rick Barnes team melts. That may be the case again but I don’t think it will be the case tonight. In fact I think this is the most complete team Barnes has ever had throughout his coaching tenure. Maybe this is the team that finally brings him a championship behind Ament’s superstar talent and Gillespie’s veteran leadership and ability to be clutch.
Anyway I believe Houston is a good team but I believe the Vols are better and will show it tonight.

I capped the Vols winning by 2 myself so that would get you the double if my numbers are correct. Sitting on Seton Hall and Tennessee, the latter for a lot of the reasons you stated above. Pretty fantastic team Barnes has and I think Houston will play better than yesterday, but they also exerted more energy than they should have in getting that W. Opposite can be said for Vols. Tennessee has a propensity for turning the ball over and with one of the weakest schedules in the country to this date could be in big trouble, especially playing a good team that played down to their opponent last game.

Houston is a damn good team. What a game! Kingston Flemings is unreal and Ament and Gillespie both had bad shooting games but the depth of this Vols team is its strength and it’s important against great teams like Houston.
