Another pointless night for me won 2 Units on the Jazz and lost 2 on St. Louis so not much to report, so onto tomorrow. I did not know much about the Flyers until the NIT started.... since I have seen them play several times now I am impressed and intrigued by their tempo and the immense pressure they put on transition defenses. They have a ton of athletes and are fun as fuck to watch play the game if nothing else. North Carolina showing some life of late but ill tell ya these boys from Dayton are tough to bet against this type of ball they play really gets opponents out of their game.... thoughts?

I agree, Dayton should be able to hold their own with their solid D. If I were picking a side, I would find it hard to go agains NC +3 with the way the refs like to cheat for them. But, i hate UNC and I cannot bet on them so I am trying to get a read on the total. I would lean toward the under but unsure of how many late fouls we get.

This game will mean everything to Dayton and will still be an embarrassment to UNC even if they win.... IDK the way Dayton pushes there wings and get to the hole I think UNC will not be able to match up and will get into instant foul trouble and Dayton plays fierce man to man D since they have Hockey like shifts with their substituions so they always seem to be fresh.... Bottom like fuck UNC they are not agood team they shouldnt have even been invited to the NIT they were more deserving of like a CBI invitation Dayton fun team to watch fun to root for no way I put money against them in this one

Final four appearances 18 - 1, National Championships 6 - 0, National player of the year 11 - 0 and first team All Americans 34 - 9. To say a win would be a feather in Daytons seniors caps is an understatement. Roy Williams continues to try and win a horse race when he doesn't have the guards or the type of players to play his style of basketball, and that has led to this team scoring 80 points only once in their last 23 games. Past teams have never gone more than 5 games without scoring 80 plus points. More to's to assists in 16 of their 18 ACC games not only shows up in their record but shows their inefficiency at the guard spot. The obvious thing to do would be to take the Heels in a Championship game, NIT or not, but just think that this team doesn't have the horses to win the type of race we'll see tonight. IMO not only won't they win but in the end won't cover. BOL

Dayton impressed me by walking into Cincinatti and blowing them out as well as knocking off the Illini. UNC can salvage their season tonight by winning this tournament. Game is a absoloute coinflip in my opinion.

I'm playing the Dayton senior angle. UNC has years to get this group on track and they know it. Think that Thompson is the only starting senior for UNC and unless he gets his own, who's going to feed him without turning it over like they did against URI. Same type of ball pressure defense for Dayton gets it done in this one, as long as the refs don't steal it again. BOL

I think the young Tar Heels are going to struggle with Dayton's harrassing defense. Dayton constantly pressures and hand checks, and UNC is probably one of the most turnover prone teams I have watched. If UNC limits turnovers, they win easily, but I don't think they will be able to do so. Just my humble opinion.

I have been on Dayton the entire NIT and I am not stopping now. This has to be one of the fastest up and down teams I have ever seen and I have been watching college bball for over 30 years. UNC is not the UNC of old as we know nd they definitely do not have the speed or the talent to hang with Dayton. If Dayton applies this speed in the 2nd half UNC will be cooked.
