The Argos vs FIFA

I was reading an article, where Chad Kelly was excited to return as the Argos QB for this upcoming 2026 regular season.

I am sure he can't wait, till week 10, for his Grand return, for the Argos "home opener".  ?.

Say what?  That's right.  Due to World Soccer, TOR will start their first 9 regular season games on the road!

BYE, MTL, OTT, SSK, CGY, WPG, HAM, BC, BYE, Finally TOR returns home to play CGY, where CGY will be playing on 4 days of rest and TOR 4+7 days.

The man did not play all last year.  Now he is going to start this 2026 campaign with 9 road games to start the season!

BC is in a similar situation but not as bad as TOR.  If Mr. Rourke gets hurt at any point this 2026 season... BC is screwed!

Hmm.

I guess, it is a Bye week, then 7 road games then another Bye week.

Still, if TOR manages to have a winning record for their Home Opener, week 10... I'll be a monkey's uncle.

13 out of 21 games being played on the road!  If they can't win on the road, they will not make the playoffs.

2 games in the East (MTL, OTT), then 3 games out West (SSK, CGY, WPG).

That's a lot of travel.  Back & forth across the country no less!  Week 7 on the road vs HAM then out to BC week 8, week 9 Bye, then finally their Home Opener!

The Argos are going to be a very tricky team this season!!

If they suffer any injuries to start the 2026 season, it will be a very long season for TOR & BC if anything happens to Mr. Rourke for BC.
