Hey everyone. Positive week for me last week, and I like the board this week!
Montreal @ Winnipeg (+6.5) - Another week where on paper, Winnipeg is not this bad talent wise but they are such a dumpster fire. 6.5 at home is too much, but this team is so unreliable. Another week of Brady and Demski not practicing, and it feels like the wheels are hanging on by a thread and they could come off at any moment. I can see Winnipeg covering, but I won't bet on it.
Bets:
Travis Theis Over 83.5 Rushing Yards (-115) - Winnipeg has the worst rushing D in the league (worse than Ottawa).
Parlay: Montreal / BC ML (-133) - I will get into BC later whom I'm must more confident in, but I think both of these teams win. If this is too pricy for your liking, I don't mind both teams -2.5 as well for a better number.
Hamilton @ Calgary (-5.5) - On open, I had a Hamilton +6.5 ticket, but I cashed it out. I regret that. We do not know who is starting at QB for either team. I hope it's Ford for Hamilton but if Love starts for Calgary, take out a mortgage on Hamilton as I think they should be a favourite. VA was banged up last week, but im surprised he isn't a lock to start. He still is not practicing despite coming off bye. I will be closely monitoring his health news as the week goes on, and I'll fire on Hamilton for any + number if he's out. With that said, I like the under and here is why: IF VA plays, he will come in with limited practice time (coming off bye and not participating), against a solid defence with a team that can't score. VA will be rusty against a hungry D. Plus if he doesn't play, we will definitely get some CLV. Last - Calgary's D has been bad and it's not for a lack of talent. I think they are going to improve.
Bets:
Under 59.5 (-110)
Calgary TT Under 34.5 (-140)
Calgary TT Under 30.5 (+135) - small
Toronto @ Saskatchewan (-4.5) - I really don't get this line. I don't know how you can watch Saskatchewan the last few weeks and think they should be more than a FG favourite against this Toronto team. I've been saying it for weeks but they are a wounded duck right now and Emilus is back on the 6 game after returning last week. They are too banged up right now, I think this should be 3 or lower.
Bets:
Toronto +4.5 (-110)
KeeSean Johnson O90.5 Receiving Yards - I know I just ripped on the Riders, but with Emilus out he will get a ton of targets - which was the case when this happened earlier this year. Plus, Toronto still has a brutal pass D.
BC @ Ottawa (+7.5) - I think we all know Ottawa at this point. Since Rourke has been back, I think it's fair to say BC hasn't figured it fully out offensively. They are going to get better, but their defence has surprisingly been good with the addition of Lorenzo Mauldin. BC is ascending, and Ottawa has hit the basement a month ago. This opened at -4.5, which I couldn't believe and hit immediately.
Bets:
BC -4.5 (-115) - (Large)
Parlay as discussed above.
