F1 United States Grand Prix post-qualifying picks

F1 United States Grand Prix Prediction: Max Verstappen to win
    (-188 at bet365)

Max Verstappen is in peak form, claiming his third pole in the last four races. He’s won two of them and hasn’t finished worse than second over that span.

The Circuit of the Americas track in Austin is a place that appears set up for his driving style, as Verstappen had claimed the checkered flag three times in a row before Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc won in 2024.

Since winning back-to-back in Qatar and Hungary, Lando Norris has been all over the map in the last five races. He's finished on the podium just three times, while also sporting a seventh and an 18th-place finish.

Verstappen’s steady consistency, especially with just six races to go, should help him claim another checkered flag.

F1 United States Grand Prix prop pick: George Russell to record a podium finish
    (-138 at bet365)

After picking up his second win of the year in Singapore last week, Mercedes’ George Russell will start fourth in Austin.

He’s been given the third-best odds to podium at the United States Grand Prix, a spot better than Leclerc, who will start a spot ahead of him.

Russell was the only driver in the Top 5 on Saturday to go sub-1:33 in qualifying, finishing at 1:32.826. It could be his team unlocking something at the right time, or the books feeling the British driver is on a bit of a hot streak.

Either way, I’ll take the bait on Russell earning his third straight podium finish.

F1 United States Grand Prix 2025 pre-qualifying favorites

You can throw a blanket over Max Verstappen, Lando Norris, and Oscar Piastri in the United States Grand Prix odds, with Verstappen at +200, Norris at +210, and Piastri at +240.

Although McLaren has had a stranglehold on proceedings for most of 2025, Verstappen has been the hottest of the Top 3 in the United States GP betting and is a three-time winner of this race.

Charles Leclerc, who won this event in 2024, is the fifth-choice, just behind Singapore GP winner George Russell.

    Understanding F1 betting odds

The most popular way to bet on Formula 1 odds is by simply picking the winner of a particular race. Other popular F1 betting options include which car/constructor will win and whether or not a particular race car driver will end up on the podium with a Top-3 finish.

F1 race odds usually look like this:

    • Charles Leclerc +400

This means that on a $100 bet, you'll stand to profit $400 if Leclerc wins that particular race. If one driver is especially dominant, you might see a minus sign (-) ahead of that driver's odds like this:

    • Max Verstappen -120

This means that you would need to bet $120 to win $100 on Verstappen winning the race.
