Max Verstappen is back to third in the Drivers' Championship odds, and he was favored in the F1 odds to take the Sao Paulo Grand Prix.
"Was" is the operative word, as Lando Norris is a massive betting favorite after clinching the pole position during Saturday's sprint while Verstappen tumbled to +4000 and 16th in the starting grid after failing to escape Q1.
Here are my Sao Paulo GP predictions and free betting picks for Sunday, November 9.

F1 Sao Paulo Grand Prix 2025 post-qualifying picks
F1 Mexican Grand Prix Prediction: Lando Norris to win
(-350 at bet365)
Anything short of the checkered flag would be a bitter disappointment for Lando Norris, considering his competitors’ positions.
He’s coming off a win at Mexico City, making it three races that Norris has won this year from the pole.
Since a disappointing 18th-place finish in Canada, Norris has been consistent and brilliant, winning three races, finishing second in three, and racking up seven podiums in nine starts.
The final sprint home couldn’t have started better for the Brit, and I expect him to take full advantage of this starting spot.
F1 Mexican Grand Prix prop pick: Charles Leclerc to record a podium finish
(-110 at bet365)
Charles Leclerc has quietly raced his Ferrari to fifth in the overall standings, and he’s on a nice little run of late, picking up a podium finish in both Mexico City and Austin.
Leclerc finished fifth last year and fourth in 2022, bookended with a 19th-place finish in 2023, when he started on the first row in spot two.
Still, I like him to shake off those disappointments and keep lurking in the background of frontrunners like Norris and Piastri.

Lewis Hamilton (+2800) and Kimi Antonelli (+6600) round out the betting options below +25000.

Understanding F1 betting odds
The most popular way to bet on Formula 1 odds is by simply picking the winner of a particular race. Other popular F1 betting options include which car/constructor will win and whether or not a particular race car driver will end up on the podium with a Top-3 finish.
F1 race odds usually look like this:
- Charles Leclerc +400
This means that on a $100 bet, you'll stand to profit $400 if Leclerc wins that particular race. If one driver is especially dominant, you might see a minus sign (-) ahead of that driver's odds like this:
- Max Verstappen -120
This means that you would need to bet $120 to win $100 on Verstappen winning the race.
