We are midway through 2026, so who is on course to the most streamed Spotify artist this year in the U.S.? Will Drake conquer all before him, or can Bad Bunny and the rest catch up?

So, if you want to make sure this year’s Spotify Wrapped is better than the last (and your listening age better reflects your actual age), now’s your chance to hit the prediction markets and get ahead.

Drake, Taylor Swift, and Bad Bunny are the sensible picks on Kalshi for Top Artist on Spotify U.S. this year. But could some of the big monthly streamers like Olivia Rodrigo be better bets?

Key Takeaways:

  • Drake is still a clear favorite: at 74%, the Canadian is the easy pick for most-streamed artist in the U.S.
  • Taylor Swift is the value pick at 6%: Buy now, sell later - especially with the wedding party buzz and the new Toy Story 5 theme tune confirmation.
  • Bad Bunny is a tentative 'Yes': The Debí Tirar Más Fotos star is enjoying a great 2026 but his price is swinging wildly on the markets.

Top Artist on Spotify U.S.: the Same Old Faces?

Look back at the Spotify Wrapped Top 10 Artist U.S chart over the last few years and there are three names that keep cropping up. They are, of course, Drake, Bad Bunny and Taylor Swift.

Puerto Rican star Bad Bunny took the prize for top global artist in 2025, claiming the title for the fourth time. But he wasn’t the most streamed artist everywhere. In the U.S., the crown was Taylor’s once again.

Will Bad Bunny’s fans beat last year’s 19.8 billion streams in 2026 to make him the most streamed U.S. artist this year, or will the Swifties continue to assert their power over the U.S. streaming charts. Or, could Drake sneak past them both and take the title from under their noses?

We’ve got the latest odds from the prediction markets on which artists could  become this year’s biggest streaming success stories.

Drake | Chance 74% | Yes 74¢

The stats:

Lifetime streams to date ~134 billion
Monthly listeners 80.9 million
U.S. ranking (2025) #2
Global ranking (2025) #4

Drake, famed for both his music and the fact that he’s apparently powerful enough to create his own sports betting curse, is always a good bet in the streaming markets.

A consistent name in U.S. Spotify charts, Drake could easily feature in the top three most streamed artists on Spotify this year. The question is: has he got what it takes to knock Taylor Swift off her throne by the end of 2026?

Bettors think so. Drake currently has the best chance of topping US streaming charts this year, according to prediction markets.

It’s not just Tay Tay he needs to take on if he’s going to win in 2026, though. Drake also faces stiff competition this year in the form of Bad Bunny and Morgan Wallen.

Bad Bunny | Chance 20% | Yes 20¢

The stats:

Lifetime streams to date ~122.5 billion
Monthly listeners 83.8 million
US ranking (2025) #5
Global ranking (2025) #1

Looking at the prediction markets, Spotify's #1 Global Artist for 2025 and this year’s Super Bowl headliner is third most likely to be announced as the most streamed artist in the U.S. this year.

Bad Bunny is already one of the most streamed artists of all time, with over 122 billion streams to date. Last year, the star’s music was streamed 19.8 billion times. But he hasn’t managed to replicate his global success in the US-specific charts yet.

We’re not expecting new music from Bad Bunny this year, either. This too could impact his chances of topping U.S. streaming charts at the end of the year.

Taylor Swift | Chance 6% | Yes 9¢

The stats:

Lifetime streams to date ~125.3 billion
Monthly listeners 120.4 million
U.S. ranking (2025) #1
Global ranking (2025) #2

Taylor Swift has taken the top spot on the U.S. streaming charts for three consecutive years now. In two of those years (2023 and 2024), Swift was also the most streamed artist globally.

This is a star with one of most powerful fandoms on the planet, along with productivity levels that put us mere mortals to shame. And given her recent track record, we can safely assume that more new music could be on its way in 2026.

Plus, the details of Taylor's wedding to Travis Kelce seem to have been locked in. We’re fully expecting an uptick in Swiftie streaming as the big day approaches. That just might be all she needs to take the crown as most streamed artist in the U.S. once again.

Oh, and let's not forget that Taylor Swift's I Knew It, I Knew You has been confirmed on the soundtrack to the new Toy Story 5 movie. Put the whole package together and it's a firm 'Yes' from us.

Top Artist on Spotify USA: Value Picks

OK, we know Drake and Bad Bunny are locks: what about the others?

Beyoncé | Chance 1% | Yes 1¢

The stats:

Lifetime streams to date ~34 billion
Monthly listeners ~180 million
US ranking (2025) Top 80
Global ranking (2025) Top 100

If you’re looking for a gossipy bet, the 1% on Beyoncé is for you. It's been widely rumored (but heavily denied) that the third instalment of Beyoncé's trilogy will drop at the end of May 2026.

Act III may have a rock element to it (think Tina Turner in full '80s mode) and follows the country vibe of Act II: Cowboy Carter

The internet buzz alone should create traction on the prediction markets for Beyoncé. Plus, the singer has a huge following on Spotify USA.

There's one caveat, however: even during the release of Act II, Beyonce didn't hit top spot in the US streaming charts. In fact, Taylor Swift, Drake, and Bad Bunny have all outperformed her over the past four years.

The 1% will surely increase if the album drop rumors prove to be true. A speculative buy on 'Yes' now is the cheap option right now.

Morgan Wallen | Chance 1% | Yes 1¢

The stats:

Lifetime streams to date ~30.2 billion
Monthly listeners 44.5 million
US ranking (2025) #3
Global ranking (2025) Top 20

If you’re looking for a great value pick with realistic potential, Morgan Wallen is worth considering.

The Tennessee country singer has broken multiple industry records in recent years, and he’s been sitting pretty in third place on the U.S. streaming charts since 2023.

Wallen's price remains low, but it's been ticking along around the 5-6% mark for a couple of months.

Bruno Mars | Chance 1% | Yes 2¢

The stats:

Lifetime streams to date ~54 Billion
Monthly listeners 150.3 million
US ranking (2025) Top 15
Global ranking (2025) #7

Attention is firmly focused on the artists now being called the “big three,” but this does leave room for a potential upset before the year is out.

Those betting on a surprise winner are putting their money on artists like Bruno Mars. His price has been climbing since the beginning of 2026.

Mars hasn’t appeared in the top five on the U.S. charts at all over the past five years, though, so a win for him would be a shock result.

It’s definitely unlikely… but nothing is impossible.

Spotify US Streaming Winners: 2021-2025

Looking back at data published by Spotify over the past five years, we can clearly see the hold that Swift has over the U.S. streaming charts.

But Drake’s come in second place for three years now. Could 2026 finally be the year that he takes the win? Top Spotify U.S. Artist odds hunters certainly think so.

Here's how things stand as we head into a new year of music and streaming record-breaking!
