The last time the BC Lions and Toronto Argonauts squared off, fireworks erupted at BMO Field, with — count it — 86 points scored.

With these teams set to square off in Vancouver on Friday night, my Argonauts vs. Lions predictions expect an offensive encore in Week 17.

Here are my CFL picks for September 26, with kickoff set for 10:00 p.m. ET on TSN.

Argonauts vs Lions prediction

My Argonauts vs Lions pick: Over 57.5 (-110 at BET99)

Both the BC Lions and Toronto Argonauts are no strangers to shootouts. Their explosive offenses are paired with equally shaky defenses, so get ready for another track meet at BC Place.

Nathan Rourke and the Lions' offense have been clicking on all cylinders lately, eclipsing 30+ points in seven consecutive contests. BC is fresh off a 52-23 blowout of Calgary and is averaging a league-high 7.89 yards per play and 429.4 yards of net offence per game this season.

All the while, the Leos’ defense has been picked apart, with Mike Benevides’ unit allowing 27.4 offensive points per game — the worst mark in the CFL. To make matters worse for BC, veteran corner Garry Peters is listed as questionable for Friday, while starting safety Cristophe Beaulieu has been ruled out with a knee injury.

For Toronto, QB Nick Arbuckle is expected to return from a calf injury that sidelined him last week. Arbuckle has done an admirable job of filling in for the injured Chad Kelly, trailing only reigning MOP Bo Levi Mitchell in passing touchdowns.

Unfortunately for Ryan Dinwiddie's squad, their defense (or lack thereof) has led to a 5-9 record, as the defending Grey Cup champs have allowed a league-worst 40 touchdowns in 2025.

All signs point to offensive fireworks in this late-night clash, so back the Over.

Argonauts vs Lions same-game parlay (SGP)

Over 57.5

Lions team total Over 32.5

BC is 10-4 to the Over this season, while Toronto enters this matchup 7-6 O/U.

The last time the Lions failed to top 32.5 points was all the way back on July 19, and they put up 34 in their Week 12 matchup against the Argos.
