I have to list my wagers in units instead of dollars because some bitches on this site are offended by dollar amounts. Well, this is our last chance to take huge points against a Patriots team that's long since stopped dominating the league in the way they were doing in weeks 1-11. After getting roasted by a bunch of Patriots & over parlays in September, October, and November, the oddsmakers have taken measures to stop the squares from abusing them. So, in the last seven games, Pats backers have been forced to lay an average of 17 points per game with a team that was starting to run a little low on fuel. The result has been six ATS failures by an average of 10.7 points per game. Here today is one more bloated line that the Patriots will not be able to cover. I say "one more" because if the Patriots reach the Bowl, they'll be saddled with another fat-looking line but that is one I believe they will cover, either just under 2 TDs against the Packers or just over 2 TDs against the Giants.
Idle thought: I think most of us are in agreement that Tom Brady has continued his sensational play in the second half of the season even as the rest of his team has dropped off a bit from the ridiculous 9-0 performance that started the season. Still, his brilliance hasn't been enough to cover these huge lines. So.......what if he's not brilliant today? What if he's just good? Or very good? That may not even be enough to win this game.
LaDainian Tomlinson was quoted this week as saying "We're just hoping to not get embarrased!" Other members of the Chargers have said similar things. You know what it means when a team is saying things like that? It means THEY'RE PISSED! If the Chargers win today, pay attention to the quotes coming out of their locker room and their press conferences. They'll be unloading all the anger they've bottled up this week about being insulted as two touchdown underdogs. This always happens after a quality team wins straight up as a big underdog.

Bator, I remember the spirited debates that ensued this time last season and also surrounding these same 2 teams. The Chargers meltdown last season in the 4th quarter should still be firmly in the front of their minds. They had this squad beat last year, but it wasn't this same Pats team, obviously. I feel the weight of all the banged up players is on their minds and knowing that Rivers will most likely not finish this game (if he even makes it through the 1st half) has to be a major source of concern. How can San Diego run the ball and keep the Patriots off of the field if they get down 14-0 right out of the gate? Worst possible scenario, obviously for these Bolts. Good luck with your plays bud and go get 'em today. Unfortunately, I'll be rooting on the other side with some Pats -13 1/2 -120

Good luck Bator. Best I can get with a local is +550 - terrible line. I also loaded up on SD +7.5 1H (-110) - I think the 1H line is the best bet today. I am back and forth on the 2nd game, but my initial lean is the Pack.

The Patriots haven't gotten off to that kind of fast start against any respectable opponent since mid-November. I'm not worried about the Week 1-11 juggernaut reappearing today. That'll happen two weeks from now if they advance past this game.

thanks for the write up bator! I am glad to see we are on the same side, as I have been adding to my Bolts wagers all week. For some reason, I like the under in both games as well, which seems to be about 180 degrees opposite of most folks...it seems like most of the year has been favorites and overs hitting (remember Turkey day..what a debacle that was)....I think it changes around here as the dogs bark and games go under. Best of luck to you (and us!)
