MrB, I just have to ask this question... I have already bet on the NE -11.5 but I planning to bet much more..
however, does it ever cross your mind that Giants could be the first team in history to win the superbowl after winning three consecutive road playoff games ? That would be so much fun dont you think, after so many year Peyton Manning defeated by Brady and it is only take this year for Eli to beat Brady... Or was I just dreamin' ??
Let me hear you though,....appreciate B

How would the fact that no team in NFL history has won the Super Bowl after winning three consecutive road games justify your Giants selection?
The Pats roll so easily here, it's really not even funny...

Was going to post about this... then I saw your remarks above.
I PAINFULLY remember betting the Patriots in that Superbowl. They had covered something like 11 games in a row and won their playoff games on the road. I believe they were 8.5 pt dogs and they even scored a FG to take an early 3-0 lead!!
FINAL: BEARS 46 PATRIOTS 10
Thanks for your input on the game and congrats on last weekend!

is everyone forgetting the pittsburgh steelers two years ago winning three consecutive road games on the way to the superbowl? granted it was a different situation as they were favorites in the big game as well as their wildcard game. but nonetheless, they won three road playoff games in a row just two years ago.

Big difference, Daworm. The Steelers of three years ago had the strength of a #2 seed but major injuries dropped them to just a #6 seed. That's why they were favored in their first road playoff game at Cincinnati, because by the time the playoffs started, they had enough players back from injury.

Hmm, I wonder how many times Patriots players have heard people diminishing their Super Bowl victories by pointing out that they won each game by only 3 points? Seems to me if I played for the Patriots I'd be interested in putting that nonsense to rest......by winning this one by 3 touchdowns!
