Buck Showalter and Bob Melvin were definitely a toss up.

I would have leaned Melvin, tougher division.

AL East was tougher than the AL West.

Yankees better record than the A's

Orioles and Rangers split

Rays better record than the Angels

Mariners better than Boston and Toronto...but still give the edge to Baltimore facing four opponents rather than three.

You have to give it to Melvin for winning the division with the lowest payroll in MLB.

i agree with key Melvin's team before the season was stripped down like a car. Here are the guys that were gone

1. Gio Gonzalez

2. Trevor Cahill

3. Andrew Bailey

4. Josh Willingham

5 Craig Breslow

6. David Dejesus

on and on we go. I love what Buck did but i lean Melvin
