Portugal vs Congo goal scorer prediction: Cristiano Ronaldo

Pick made by Chris Vasile

Cristiano Ronaldo remains one of the biggest storylines entering Portugal's World Cup campaign. While some have questioned whether the 41-year-old should still lead the line,

Roberto Martinez continues to trust the veteran striker in the biggest moments. Ronaldo may no longer be the all-action forward of his prime, but he remains Portugal's primary penalty taker and one of the most clinical finishers in international football.

He also enters the tournament with added motivation as he looks to silence critics calling for his replacement. Against a DR Congo side expected to spend much of the match defending deep,

Portugal should create plenty of chances. If the favorites deliver the attacking performance many expect, Ronaldo is still the most likely player to get on the scoresheet.

England vs Croatia goal scorer prediction: Harry Kane

Pick made by Sam Farley

Getting plus money on Harry Kane feels like a gift. The numbers speak for themselves: He’s England’s top scorer with 79 goals and has scored 32 goals for club and country in just 2026 alone, and 61 for Bayern across the whole season.

Kane has never been quick, so at 32 years old, his powers aren’t diminishing. His two main attributes, his finishing and his reading of space, are still there. With England’s wide players creating one-on-one matchups out wide, it then becomes a matter of Kane making runs into the near and back post to slot in any balls that come across.

Ghana vs. Panama goal scorer prediction: Jordan Ayew

Pick made by Jason Ence

If Ghana are to find a way through on goal, Jordan Ayew will certainly be involved.

He’s expected to operate in the striker role flanked by Antoine Semenyo, and either Inaki Williams or Ernest Nuamah. They will be tasked with feeding him the ball as often as possible.

Ayew led all players during African qualification with 14 goal involvements, evenly split between seven goals and seven assists. He also scored twice in three AFCON fixtures.

Looking at the board, he’s the same price as teammates Inaki Williams and Antoine Semedo. That makes him outstanding value, given he’s more likely to find the back of the net than either of those two.

Colombia vs Uzbekistan goal scorer prediction: Luis Diaz

Pick made by Tom Oldfield

Diaz’s dynamic performances propelled Bayern Munich this season, and he’s the pick here. Cutting inside from the left wing, he’s always looking to test the keeper, and Uzbekistan’s back three will be stretched if Diaz drags a center back into wider positions.

He found the net in Colombia’s warm-up win over Costa Rica earlier this month, and I expect Rodriguez to move the ball quickly in midfield to give Diaz one-on-one opportunities before Uzbekistan can double up on him.

In a contest where I see Los Cafeteros flexing their attacking muscles, Diaz should be one of the architects for an opening win.
